With the conclusion of the adaptation of "Resurrection F", it looks like I can easily say that this was better than the movie version when the same couldn't be said for "Battle Of Gods". I have to mention the spoiler, even though it's halfway through the episode. We actually get to see Vegeta portrayed more heroically as he does in fact save Goku from Freiza. Well, I guess you could argue he just wanted to beat Goku on his own, but we see him become Super Saiyan God, although it's never referred to as the Super Saiyan of the Super Saiyan God like Goku said. Oh, and the whole Earth blows up. Yeah, everyone dies.
This is a big improvement from the movie because we briefly get to see all of the characters right before the Earth is destroyed. These are some truly powerful images that show us how tear jerking this truly is. I guess Hercule finally died! Well, it was undone by Whis, but still impressive. Even Goku gets character development as he realizes he has to kill Freiza right away. The pacing is fantastic in this episode and we even get some great relief when the main action is finally over. ****
