Mike Flanagan’s adaptation of Stephen King’s “Doctor Sleep” had its first footage unveiled at CinemaCon on Tuesday, and the links to “The Shining” are strong.
While details are still being kept under wraps, the sneak peek did show Danny Torrance, played by Ewan McGregor, still struggling with the trauma stemming from the events of his childhood. And as he stumbles in the dark, he looks in the mirror and sees an ominous vision: “Redrum,” the backwards version of “Murder” that he muttered as a child and which was painted on the walls of the Overlook Hotel all those years ago.
“As a child he went through a terrible experience, and he’s trying to figure out how he’s going to deal with this Shine,” said McGregor in a featurette, referring to Danny’s supernatural ability to telepathically communicate.

The Show | How to Get Away With Murder
The Episode | “Lahey v. Commonwealth of Pennsylvania” (March 1, 2018)
The Performance | The first hour of ABC’s much-hyped crossover between Scandal and How to Get Away With Murder served up a whole slew of memorable moments. Olivia Pope and Annalise Keating’s long-awaited first meeting, for example. And their second meeting. And their third meeting, just to name a few.
But it was the crossover’s second hour — in which Annalise’s class-action lawsuit finally reached the U.S. Supreme Court — that left us awestruck, thanks in large part to Davis’ tour-de-force performance.

Donnelly Rhodes, a Canadian-born character actor best remembered by daytime drama fans for his portrayal of Phillip Chancellor II on The Young and the Restless, died on Monday at a hospice facility near his home in Maple Ridge, British Columbia. He was 81.

We tend to get used to the structure of crime based shows, they follow certain rules. With Murder: The Complete Series this is turned on its head by providing the stories in a documentary style, based on interviews after the case has finished. You’ll probably expect there to be a few twists, which of course there are many.
Featuring not only the series itself, but also Murder: Joint Enterprise we meet characters connected to the murders and they set their case. This can be family of the murdered person, witnesses or the accused person themselves, all ready to give their information over to us. We then have to decide exactly what has happened and who is the real culprit.

Stephen King's human villains are by far his most frightening. Here are 10 of his most deranged human antagonists...
Stephen King is the creator of many preternaturally terrifying villains. Vampires, devils, demonic clowns, aliens, witches, werewolves, dark wizards, and even a killer automobile or two, but it is his human monsters that are the most frightening. King’s serial killers, despots, murderers, bullies, and crooks of all types could be our neighbors, our friends, our coworkers, and even our family. They exist in the real world and lurk around every corner, just waiting for their moment to strike.
Here are just some of King’s most enduring human monsters that may not exist under your bed, but they could be next to you on a bus, in the next bathroom stall, or next to you on the couch.
