This episode was amazing and easily the best episode up until this point. The animation, the blood, the horror, the great love between all members of the family, the tear inducing scenes, and some nice action. This episode was also in a 2.4:1 aspect ratio so it felt especially cinematic.
This gives Lenka's full back story and gives a lot more motivation and layers to his character and makes you feel for him more.
This episode should have came much earlier in the series, maybe episode 2 or 3 as it for sure would have hooked audiences. Lots of people started this anime and dropped it, had this episode come at 2 or 3 it would've given much more motivation and context for the MC in the coming episodes. My biggest complaint of the show has been the lack of emotional connection and sympathy and motivation for the MC. This episode completely connects you to Lenka infinitely more than before. I do wish though that this episode came much earlier. It's a shame because this anime could be a lot more liked and popular than it is if they just tweaked the episode order.
