I haven't laughed so hard in ages. This show needs a second season.

Very funny
cindyu-712805 March 2017
This show is right up my alley! Funny, stupid and a little scary. My kind of people doing the ghost busting. You have a sensible Black man running the show. You have a scary Black guy as a tech. You have a young, hip Asian woman as the medium and then you have a stable young Black woman who is the anchor and the investigator and a young hipster type white/Hispanic guy as another tech.

Good chemistry with the whole team. This show is so America at it's best! Best quote so far; "Ok, yeah she's always a little weird, but this time, she's WAY over the top!" Hilarious, because the medium is sprawled out on the floor asking to be a conduit for the spirits she's contacting! Good show! If you don't like Tyler Perry/Medea movies and shows, this ain't for you! Now, if you like that kind of entertainment, then ya, you might like this. I know I do!

Dumb
thrax-2331611 January 2023
This show is pretty dumb, even for a ghost hunter show. The group is sloppy, generally low-tech, and quick to jump to the conclusion that every place they investigate happens to be haunted by whatever the owner happened to tell them about at the beginning of the episode. And like every other ghost hunter show, the crew is absolutely certain that every shadow, every bit of static picked up on a sound recorder, and artifact of light is evidence of a haunting. This is basically garbage TV, something to throw on for background noise while you do something else. Some of the jokes had me chuckling occasionally, though, which is why this gets 3 / 10 instead of 1 / 10. There's really nothing here that you haven't already seen on a dozen other bad ghost hunter shows.

Most entertaining ghost hunting show, EVER!
fourimpact30 December 2018
This is the most entertaining ghost hunting show of all time. I found it on Hulu and binge watched the entire season. It was so funny!! I loved the team and the locations they were investigating. I am bummed they haven't made another's season yet. If nothing else, they need to have a YouTube channel. I'm addicted.

Not what I expected
shieldsjasmine31 December 2022
I agree with all the bad comments. Very, very unprofessional. Didn't ask names to actually make sure it's the spirit that they're talking too. No common sense to none of this.. Piñata one definitely pissed me off and Matt is annoying asf. Should not be a Season 2. They should be ashamed they even made this show. Because it is insulting! Like what the hell.

It was some laughs. But they weren't even trying to help them leave the space. Just a joke. Definitely expected better and more information and research. More seriousness towards the paranormal because it's not a joke. People lost their lives in a tragic way, and they don't take it serious enough to actually do the investigation. Shaking my head.

Good show while it lasted

Don't believe the negativity posted by some on here, they think they know it all 99% of the time! This was a show that entertained, yes it was different than other paranormal hunting shows, but thats what made it entertaining. These guys are hilarious, making you laugh! Wish it was more than one season.

Garbage

NOT a good show at all, the only laughs you get from this show is a few of how unprofessional they are!! Like with the ridiculous solutions a bunch of adults come up with, almost as if they are a bunch of early teens. Not one professional solution yet, And the pinata one was the worst one, hands down. I think this team should take a day out of their time and spend it with a REAL ghost hunting team before they keep making episodes, that's if they have enough views to want to make more. ( I HIGHLY doubt that!). I know they must have lost half of their views from the racist remark defecio and maunda made in episode 6. sure lost my views. p.s Purdy you should leave this team for another. your professionalism should now have to be taking down by this show.

I wish I was a Ghost in LA

This is a fun take on the paranormal genre. The team uses the same techniques as most other ghost hunting shows, except they are trying to make me smile instead of cringe (most of the time). I would watch another season if one existed. Thanks crew.

Don't cast Matty again!
infakay2 September 2018
While the investigations were interesting, the only person who seemed to always ruin it was Matty. They shouldve fired or better yet never have casted him. He wasn't helpful, and what paranormal investigator is afraid to do the job they signed up for? No profession what so ever he should've stayed in his own hood where he belongs. He wanted to fit in but he didn't know how or did it the wrong way. He's a charity case on the show.

Best Show out there!!!

Warning: Spoilers
If you like the paranormal and you like to laugh, watch this show! It's like the Xfiles meets the brown Brady bunch on the set of Welcome to Compton. Defecio is my favorite, his ability to keep a straight face, his driving skills, and his velour jumpsuits are hilarious. They go to places that traditional ghost hunting shows never go to. They go to fun places that if you're like me, you've never really considered them to be haunted. It's like affirmative action for ghosts. I imagine the ghosts they find are as diverse as the cast. The cast all work together really well and there's no mushy relationship stuff that distracts from the plot line and destroys good shows. I expect to see this show on television for many years to come. Hopefully a movie too. When I get my tax refund, I'm buying the DVD. I wish I had a haunted place in the hood for them to investigate.

I feel just little insulted each time I watch
glenniesewell6 August 2017
I am not going to repeat the dismay I feel for this show, as a couple of reviewers have already done so. These folks are not versed in the study of the paranormal, in other spiritual or religious traditions, and they constantly (almost proudly) proclaim their ignorance when a particular spiritual belief or practice is brought up. This show is supposed to be about helping the clients AND possibly the spirits. None of them seem to have any ideas idea how to help a spirit cross-over, or even just how to sage a place and clear negative energy out, until a proper practitioner can be brought in. Their solutions are non- solutions. The pinata had to be the most upsetting thing I have ever seen. I cannot state how - almost - stereotypical this show seems to treat minority investigators. Why would you want to 'scare' a spirit? Most of them are already scared, confused, alone, even in their death- state, still. This show simply makes a joke out of Paranormal Investigations. This show is not worth a damned spoiler. I may just skip watching any more. I am not sure what "WE" Channel was thinking, but I don't like being insulted this way. I guess, in their eyes, every "brother" has to act so damned stupid. It really is only entertainment. If these folks were interested in the paranormal since kids, they'd be far more versed in the common practices. These are Hollywood hires being paid to pretend. I feel just a bit more stupid each time I watch. All I tried to do was give it a chance. Thanks "WE."

IN DEFECIO WE CLAIM VICTORY
superman121 October 2018
Warning: Spoilers
In Adam's Drive Thru Funeral Home, one team member, Matty, sat in a chair with a strobe light on which is a new way to bring ghosts out. It worked! He jumped from being touched on his left side. The tech guy, Purdy, played the vid for the establishment owner, and said he needed to step though each frame because you couldn't see it normal speed. When the strobe came on, a human-like shadow different to Matty's fixed shadow moved from his right side to his left, in three frames. Trouble is, when I froze the same frames in the full speed one, making sure the body position and facial expression, arms, hands, fingers, thumbs, eyes, and all relative positions matched exactly, there was no shadow. It took me an hour and a half on my home PVR {Paranormal Video Recorder}. In the end, like the beginning with the place name this crew haunted, this just added to the comedy, which can't be faulted.

Adam's official initial bewildered head turned to instant acceptance of their evidence, including the ghostypical EVP {Electronic Voice Phenomena} where no one really hears any distinguishable voice so always has to be subtitled like in all these other shows where everyone instantly nods in agreement. But the OPO {Official Paranormal Operations} team's bold final solution would be hard for even spectating bespectacled Adam to accept, who did not know which way to go, proving that horror and humour really are linked, in a big way. Similar to how Matt, along with the towering team leader, can look simultaneously innocent and guilty.

Sometimes scaring to give the original Ghostbusters a run for their funny - but in a RV instead of EV and big as a small house - maybe even outdoing them in creative solutions often tragically and comically too literal, the cap on whatever this spook show has bottled where not one of them is white as a ghost, is the Asian medium, Jasmine, whose more matter-of-fact procedure than anything on Earth adds that extra needed invisible dimension - of direct contact. Quite opposite to the Earthly researcher Maunda.

What paranormal entity can stand against a team where everyone makes fun of everyone else, and whose leader is the classic Defecio, who will not accept crap and defeat from any ghosts?

funny like he ha!!

Entertainment only!!!!

This is pure guilty pleasure entertainment, there is no spiritual or psychic connection to any medium ship what so ever , unless its general cultural practices or reflection on paranormal phenom.

They had no awareness of common practices such as Wiccan"...!! and blew the name/ practice off like it is a joke ,an non interesting joke.at that!!

They had no occult reference and was bored when it was explained to them, a the lead 'claims 'to have always had an interest in the occult.. any thing out of the ordinary he only had one word...'voodoo...To describe any type of energy practice..

The Asian medium did have more knowledge , of LIGHTWORKERS or several traditional cultural intervention or spirit energy techniques..!!

They had a lot of machine , but none were based on any or what types of magical/healing system:

What is your system: Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Angel-Enoch,Sacred geometry ,new age -gem,crystal,candle -ancestor philosophy:Hoodoo, Lukumbe, Condumble, Santaria, Ifa, Kabbala, Hindi, Temple Oro, theosophic, Sufi, Golden Dawn ??who? what ??

??, They had no occult/spiritual framework to their approach .. !!!

but it was funny, watching them play at ghost busters!! got jokes!! oh yes! anything else !? heck no!!!

Parano.....NO!!!
dreed-232751 January 2023
The topic of the show investigating the paranormal is of great interest to me. Although I can appreciate the comedian twist, it did much to distract from the actual investigations. My best guess is you would have captured more solid evidence if the investigations were not repeatedly interrupted by the humor of Defencio's cousin, Matt. If you meant for the show to be taken seriously, then I would suggest leaving the comedy for a stage or a Netflix documentary and focus more on producing solid Paranormal evidence. I do like Emily very much. How she enters each investigation, knowing that she must pray prayers of protection over herself before attempting to communicate, speaks to her knowledge of the subject.. the other young lady that took her place while she was out operated from a layman perspective, something that anyone could actually do. I don't really feel she was a real sensitive, or at least that is what I gathered from her performance. I also like Muanda. Her method of research also showed her understanding of how to enter into an investigation.. Knowing the area and the history of the actual site being investigated, helps to guide the investigations and she does a good job with her research. Purdy, I know you seem to be the butt of every joke but your intellect and unconventional methods make you a cut above the rest.

Is this a joke?
gaylad-8241320 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This show is not funny nor interesting. These are very unexpereinced group of people who don't help the people affected by the spirits at all. They act like they do so much to "help" but they do not. Here is a prime example, they investigate a piñata shop, their answer to help get rid of the female teenage ghost victim is to have a piñata of the serial killer that most likely killed her to scare her away from the piñata shop. That's horrible, pathetic, and insensitive. Obviously they have no clue how to make spirits past on and have no respect for them. One of them even mocked the teenage girl's spirit by acting like he's the serial killer piñata telling the girl to run away scared. This is so disrespectful to the spirit and to the family who lost her.

Fun Parody
jmhauer-1239419 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I thoroughly enjoyed this parody of all those other obviously scripted paranormal investigation shows that grace our television and computer screens. Each show was a delight in wit and silliness. Did anyone catch the UFO believer in the earliest episode recast as a sane-but-worried homeowner with a haunting problem in a later one? No?

I also enjoyed the consistent goodnatured SCRIPTED teasing between the cast members, as well as their poise and professionalism when in front of the camera. Not one showed evidence of unease or awkwardness. This troupe of actors should be proud of their results. And yes, some of them have appeared on other shows. GITH reminded me favorably of "Wellington Paranormal," a New Zealand mocumentary with a much bigger budget and befuddled cops as the protagonists. Sad GITH only ran a single season. But then again, it did what it set out to on a shoe string budget.
