I can't say I know anything about Bobby Ray, but my eyes suggest he was one in a long line of - if not outright imitators of the Little Tramp - actors indebted to the comedy stylings of Charlie Chaplin. In Service a La Bunk (not sure what that means), Ray plays a hapless chef with a Trampish waddle and a bowler hat atop his head, but no moustache. He works for pop-eyed Billy Evans at a working man's cafe and commutes via tiny car (referred to here as a flivver, of course). Physical comedy ensues after a mouse ends up in a patron's meal, and Bobby gets the better of the local constable at film's end. A minor but amusing comedy, Service a La Bunk has been rescued by the estimable Ben Model and released on Accidentally Preserved v3.
