Fulci: Day For Night (2016)

*** 1/2 (out of 4)

Director Antonietta De Lillo took interview footage from Lucio Fulci and turned it into this thirty-three minute featurette that can be found on the latest release of the director's A LIZARD IN A WOMAN'S SKIN. Fulci certainly loves to talk as his mouth is going a mile a minute but if you're a fan then you're going to get all sorts of good and interesting thoughts from the director. He certainly comes across as a very intelligent man and at one point he ever says that after he's dead people will probably call him intelligent. He talks about all sorts of Italian directors including Bava and Argento. He also tells a wonderful story about how he met Orson Welles. From here he talks about several of his pictures including MASSACRE TIME, ONE ON TOP OF THE OTHER, ZOMBIE, THE BEYOND, THE HOUSE BY THE CEMETERY, CAT IN THE BRAIN and a few others. Fans of the director will certainly enjoy this at times funny but sometimes rather sad interview. His thoughts on women are explored as well as many other subjects and that makes this a must see.
