Enjoyable episode after 2nd viewing
jpapanone21 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Jenny McCarthy bit was funny. Peter as heath leger's joker in nurses outfit was funny. Family circus bit was good.

Few other bits and pieces. A solid effort.

The selfishness and stupidity is horrifyingly accurate
MaxWeissman16 October 2021
Extremely frustrating to watch at first, but at least it wrapped up nicely. Amazing that this was all pre-covid, but it's all still the same. Perhaps the most unrealistic thing about this is that once Lois realized her reckless misinformation campaign was causing needless loss of life, she acknowledged that she was wrong to help spread deadly disease. At least in the US today, antivaxxers unfortunately seem to have no remorse for the death and destruction they cause.

Yes there's a message, but it is funny.
Sleepin_Dragon25 April 2020
Hot shots is a funny episode, it's bonkers and zany, and yes there's a political message here, one that shows the importance of vaccines, I trust the coronavirus pandemic shows just how important the need for a vaccine is, but that's another story.

There are plenty of funny moments, and fun one liners, loved Bag Damon. The joke about liberal Hollywood was also funny.

I wouldn't say it's a favourite, but it's a very good episode, 7/10.

Awesome episode
checkiec14 November 2016
It was interesting to see family guy to make fun of anti-vaccine protesters because I find hilariously accurate and up-to-date because political correction is lame and boring. Keep on living Family Guy. Love the show since the beginning. Always be controversial and unapologetic Seth MacFarlane the best creator in history. What a bunch of butt hurt idiots who don't know how to laugh. So sad about life having no sense of humor just because the show likes to insult everyone. That's why I love this show no matter what. It's still amazing that people are easily offended over a cartoon. It's supposed to be politically crass and funny. Stay awesome Seth. Don't let these overly sensitive crybabies put you down.

Excellent take-down of pro-disease lunatics
FourOfSeven4727 August 2019
As an immunocompromised person who has to rely on herd immunity to protect me from potentially lethal diseases, I am incredibly glad Seth used his platform to illustrate how stupid people who don't vaccinate are.

As an aside, most of my family is on the spectrum, and we are all normal, functional members of society. It's pretty offensive that people would rather their children *die* than get ASD, even if vaccines *did* cause it (which they absolutely do not).

Regardless of how you feel about vaccines this episode is just not good. Boring and preachy. Not funny.

Painfully bad propaganda
Kromyns15 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
It was very disappointing to see just how politicized this show has become. It's bad enough to see a political agenda being pushed so hard in a comedy show, but what makes it really infuriating is how one-sided it all was. The best example of this was when Lois correctly listed some of the toxic chemicals vaccines contain (at least one of which has been already banned in most countries for causing too many injuries), and instead anyone on the show even trying to address the issue, Brian is just made to go on a blindfolded rant about how jabs are important and basically the only reason humanity exists, as if he was reading from a big-pharma pamphlet. The only honest part was at the end when Stewie said "This whole thing has been a lecture from liberal Hollywood." However, this is also worrying, as it means that the writers were clearly aware of how preachy and one-sided it was, which implies that they may well have been forced to do this against their will. If so, then this episode truly is a sad, dark spot in TV history.

Worst episode of Family Guy ever made
namikazedante14 November 2016
First of all of the staff of family guy should be ashamed to even produce something like this. I actually love Family Guy but this is just... boring plain boring with a agenda about vaccine.

I can't even... I mean how can anyone behind this episode be proud of putting this out to fans and alike? The best joke and yeah best in the sense of how the actually feel and how everybody feels after watching this crap ''Yes it's gonna be a Louise episode'' like Stewie says and pointing out that it's Game of Thrones on another channel.

And yes that is the truth but not just that. This was purely an episode about politics and the use of vaccine. It was actually quite sickening to watch it happen throughout the episode. My Respect for Seth McFarlane dropped very low. That he could stand behind this kind of excuse for a comedy show? I mean what the hell?

This episode was just boring and I want to forget I ever seen it. Wait that just happened now because there is nothing that is memorable about it. It's first We need to stop vaccine then throughout the second half. Oh wait ! I learned my lesson... the end. And that's the episode. So yeah I kinda was looking forward to this weeks episode . Thanks for the false hope :)

Pharmaceutical advertisement
petegreendc18 June 2018
Family Guy writers must have outsourced the script for this episode to their pharmaceutical sponsors. The show was never funny, entertaining, or even remotely accurate while it tried to make a sales pitch for vaccines.

The Worst Episode of Anything I've Ever Seen. PERIOD.
jeremyp9214 November 2016
It's one thing to be heavy-handed with absolute lies pushing a dangerous agenda, but when you completely fail to be funny doing it you're wasting your viewer's time. I've never seen political commentary more poorly done. This had to have been the most boring, humorless, redundant 22 minutes of my life. If for some reason you're reading this before watching, watch literally anything else. ANYTHING. If I could rate this 0/10 I would. STAY AWAY!

F*** THIS PATHETIC S***.

To Family Guy:

Keep your political agendas out of your show. It's not subtle. It's not clever. It's not wanted.

Very disappointing.
mchappers-4029223 October 2020
This episode really bothered me. We all know the guys at family guy are left wing and that is not the issue. What the issue was with this episode was it feels like they are telling people what to think. Normally when family guy does episode on these sorts of issues they do try and see both points. They normally put enough in there for a legit debate even if they put there side argument slightly ahead. But in this episode nothing simply saying anyone who thinks vaccines are bad you are stupid. Family guy fan for years and will always defend it to be on the air. But this episode was literally just insulting. It did have some funny moments in it though. But not many as this was about sending out a message.

Just an infuriating episode
fancypantszak20 September 2020
This is a just a boring episode, and while I agree with the message about anti-vaxxers, I just found it difficult to watch because of them being anti-vaxxers. Most of the characters in this episode are unlikeable because of how naïve they are.
