Samantha White: "'Dear White People' is a misnomer. My show is meant to articulate the feelings of a misrepresented group outside the majority."
As a 34 year old white male, this was an excellent pilot. I understand the title of the series could be polarizing. I enjoyed the quirkiness in the writing. It details the difficulty in races trying to see eye to eye if one side is willing but the other side has a wall put up. We will always have problems if we keep thinking our side is the only one that matters instead of talking to each other. The pilot also shows a white people party where participants black their faces for the party. Our main character has her own controversy come to light in the episode.
This was definitely a great introduction to the series.
