This is everything, that I've been waiting since GT's first episode. Felt amazing to watch a new real adventure of the trio since the Top Gear days. A big thanks to the production team for getting rid of season 1 and 2 nonsense, and nailing season 3!

Wildlife photography in Colombia

These comments refer to both parts of this two part special.
Back in their 'Top Gear' days the boys did a variety of specials; this is their first of the 'Grand Tour' era. The entirety of both episodes are spent in Colombia where they have been tasked with photographing four species of animal; jaguar, spectacled bear, Andean condor and that well known South American species the hippopotamus! They meet up on a beach outside the historic city of Cartagena; Clarkson in a Jeep Wrangler, May in a Fiat Panda 4x4 and Hammond in a Chevrolet Silverado. As one might expect their challenge leads to them driving across varied terrain; modifying their vehicles; encountering difficulties and annoying each other.
This double episode was one of my favourite episodes of 'The Grand Tour' to date. I always enjoyed the specials in the 'Top Gear' days as, like this, they were never really about the cars but about the locations and the trio of presenters. Like most people my knowledge of Colombia was fairly limited; I certainly had no idea just how beautiful the country was before watching this. The animals the trio had been tasked with photographing sent them to a variety of places from the colonial city of Cartagena to the jungles to 15,000 ft up a volcano. The trip provided many excuses for the banter we have come to expect as well as the usual difficulties... I'm sure many of these were at least partially staged but that didn't matter as they were entertaining. While the subject of Colombia's most infamous export was humorously hinted at and Clarkson had an awkward talk to some locals who were a little too friendly with their donkeys there was little that might have been considered offensive to the country... if anything the tourist board should be thanking the boys for showing their beautiful country to an audience who probably knew little about it. Overall a really fun double episode; I hope the team make more such episodes in future.

Such a Great Part 2

I think it was truly beautiful and well made episode. i had a lot of fun watching it, also i have to mention that Columbia has truly beautiful nature and green places, so destination was perfect, everything was really well made, lots of funny moments.
in these days, technology has just gone so far, that even just a documentary of beautiful countries is great to watch and when you add 3 Legends, i just give 10 stars without flinching!
Great TV series
bbc made a big mistake :)

I am a US ex-patriot living in Colombia and I loved this two parter. The humor of these guys is brilliant. The depictions of Colombia were also great. It is a beautiful country. Top Gear really screwed the pooch when they let these guys get away.
Easily the trio's best special since Patagonia.

After a rather oddly flat and average first half, part two of this epic adventure across Colombia made me remember why there is no one better than the likes of Clarkson, Hammond and May.
I reckon this is their best special since Top Gear went to Patagonia in 2015. The whole thing is beautifully shot, adventurous and at times very funny, with the holy trinity's chemistry both dependable and faultless.

Nice Scenery and Travel Clips

Haven'y seen much of Columbia so this is a good enough intro. The road trip was the usual fun and games worth some chuckles. They really should try to change it up a bit though, this is a bit like aging rock stars doing the casino circuit playing their old hits.

Very Good

I really enjoyed the Columbia Special. I think that the Nabian Special was a little better but this Special was very enjoyable. The first episode was a little better than this second episode but I have watched both episodes twice on the release weekend and enjoyed it very much.
Dreadful, over the hill

Season one was a bit hit or miss but put it down to the new format, season 2 was a lot better so had high hopes for season 3. However, the Columbia special was probably the worst thing they have ever done. Fantastic scenery was butchered by amateurish editing and the "stunts" were not even puerile so as to be slap stick funny but were so terrible and predictable they were boring.
Eventually something quite good!

I enjoyed this episode, but not completely as they're showing that they are old, too old, at least two of them (currently Clarkson is 60, May is 57, Hammond is 51) and the only purpose is just money. When they were younger, much younger, it was believable that they were doing many things by themselves, now you immediately see that without a lot of people helping them, they wouldn't be able to do almost nothing... before, it was quite realistic, now it's fiction. It's finished guys, write the word end and enjoy doing something different, please!
The Jeremy Clarkson's belly is so huge that sometimes he can't fit to some cars and it's awful to see him struggling to try to get into those cars.
It's time to rejuvenate the show, why Amazon doesn't understand that!
Only a moron could enjoy this show! People who are giving 10 are not honest or they are clearly payed for! Amazon is huge and they can change anything they want... unfortunately!
Predictable, boring, and dated.

Top gear in it's heyday was so good(with the exception of the celebrity section) that each episode would be repeated over and over again around the world. The specials were just that, special.
The Grand Tour specials have been awful. I don't want to see any of them again. One colleague put this down to the three of them, especially Clarkson, getting older. I can't put my finger on it though. Is it that the scripted gags are so obvious now, or that the three and the producers have run out of creativity? The three of them are going through the motions. The production values are worse as well. Did they bring the same crew from Top Gear?
It's almost like Amazon, the Dolly Parton of commerce in that it takes a lot of money to look that cheap, gave them so much money that they don't know what to do with it, or they feel they must create a show to match the funds given to them.
If you were a Top Gear fan, you will watch. If you were a Top Gear fan, you won't watch again.

Ok, this was better than the 1st part...

I gave the first part 5/10 stars because it was very disappointing and felt stretched out, but the 2nd part was much better and much more along the lines of what you'd expect from this show.
The only thing that I have to ask now is...did it have to be a 2 part Special? The 1st episode could have easily been 20 minutes long if edited and paced properly, and we could have had a single 1 hour 20 minutes long episode without the boring first part that made me pause it several times and literally fast forward some sections, which I've never done before on TG or TGT.
