Pretty funny!

I haven't watched the show at all recently, but I saw this episode with a couple friends when it premiered last night, and I have to say it was pretty funny!

It tackled into three American literary classics and twisted them to reveal their absurdities and plot holes, although the episode definitely takes a few liberties on the novels. However, even if you aren't familiar with the books, it's still fun to see what sorts of crazy antics the cast is up to now.

Peter Griffin's weird-ass shenanigans also help to tie this humorous episode together.

It's a funny episode, although I wouldn't necessarily use this as reference material for your next book report.

Quantity mixed with a surprising amount of quality

Condensing three novels into 20 minutes is a big ask, but they pull it off, even if Mice and Men feels like the elevator pitch version.

There's some vérité here: the Great Gatsby just isn't that great a novel, even abridged and spiced up a bit. Tackling Adventures of Huckleberry Finn was fairly brave even in 2016, and the lampshading avoidance of "Nigger Jim" was cleverly handled.

To be honest, I'm mostly just writing this review to see if that literal (in the literary sense of literal) word makes it past the IMDB censorbot. I mean, it's the character's name, it's listed on Wikipedia, but is it even permissible to (literally!) quote it in CURRENT_YEAR, or have we entered the era of book burning?

And that's where Family Guy shines, in provoking thoughts through the medium of comedy.

Best anthology episode since the Stephen King books

I loved this episode. It was definitely on point with all 3 books. So interesting and very clever. 10/10 awesome episode once again family guy. Keep on living for the next 5 years because the show still has it's many awesome baddest moments with its funniest characters. Serialize your show Seth to make it more interesting than it always was. Hands down best show in 17 years since the late 1990s. Continue being funny with your extremely intelligent humor. Your college leveled analysis of this fantastic show is incredible and and imaginative. Go Seth MacFarlane and his wonderful staff of amazing talented writers and actors. Long live Family Guy! I'm glad you came back unapologetic because we need your wisdom and randomness to keep us entertained.

People complaining about the episode don't get the jokes. If you have read these books in HS you'll love it without a doubt.

Seth McFarlane has lost it.

So here we are. Another week with Family Guy just going under and becoming more sad by the minute. An accurate score for this episode is 3/10 not 8.9/10 people who say differently are to subjective to even see a good joke from a bad.

We can start off that it looked promising when the episode begun but after just like 30 seconds in yeah then Family Guy crash landed totally flat. After 11 minutes not a single joke that was funny. And it just seemed like Seth didn't even care anymore. Like when Peter is hiding from the cops. I mean it was just sad to watch.

I am giving this episode 3/10 instead of 1/10 because it had two good jokes. So an improvement? I guess? ... The funny parts were with Stewie playing the role as drunk and abusive father to Peter and when Peter needed blood and killed Brian the pig. But I am other than that... who can actually say it was funny or even a good episode?

It's just sad and ending on such a depressive note? Nope I can't see them getting out of this funk. Bye bye

This episode contains 4 unrelated stories. They are not funny. Watching the episode is very boring. 0\10.
