I am Norwegian and live in Norway. My grandfather went to USA in 1901 and worked for a year to have some money. Then he went to Klondyke to dig gold. He went up the Yukon river to Dawson. He found gold and stayed there for two seasons. When the earth was frozen, he survived by catching animals, and I suppose maybe he sold some as well. He travelled with a Scottish friend, and when they left Dawson, they bought a fleet from Indians and travelled down the river. It has been great to see this series and thinking that Gullak has been there and done that.
