In the title "Madonna: What It Feels Like for a Girl", you can read the name of the artist and song that this 4.5-minute music video was promoting. The director is successful British filmmaker Guy Ritchie and this "film" we have here is from the early days of his marriage to Madonna. It is packed with action and crime, but deep at its core it felt really forgettable to me, so it is certainly a bit of a case of style over substance. The song we hear is catchy early on, but the longer it goes the more repetitive it becomes. I believe Madonna has created a lot of greatness in her long career, so it is probably not too surprising that here and there there is disappointment too and with the attempt at artistry she gives most her works you will be in for something pretentious too at times. Like this one here. Music video is rather bizarre and does not fit the tune. Provocation for the sake of it. The song itself is shallow and by no means defining, not even for girls. It's a thumbs-down. Don't watch or listen to.
