I just finished watching the Morningside 5 and this is the realist basketball documentaries out there. If you have a family member, neighbor, kids in the neighborhood who aspire to be professional athletes, please have them watch this movie. It will give them a new perspective on the journey it takes to realize their dream.
The movie is about 5 high school basketball players with College Division 1 skills and their life journey through and after basketball. You just don't get this kind of openness, honesty, and raw emotion from us in the Black community but this was one of the best shows I ever saw. I'd like to thank all the guys, Stais Boseman, Dwight Curry, Dominic Ellison, Sean Harris and Corey Saffold, for sharing their story and being so open and honest every step of the way. God bless you all and good luck to each of you through your life's journey. You are all doing GREAT!!
