Farewell OITNB
jackgriffiths-2974329 July 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Such an upsetting farewell, I cried so hard when it ended. What a great send off. Finding out Nicky is the new prison mom was way better than finding out Bran is the ruler of The seven kingdoms in GAME OF THRONES.

Bittersweet ending
trimblecali6 August 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This show doesn't do what a lot of shows do at the end: tie everything up in a little bow and everything turns out perfectly. OITNB has never been that kind of show. This season is hard to watch because it explores real storylines. Not every character gets a happy ending but that's how life is. I thought it was an amazing ending but very emotional nonetheless. The final season and the finale did the show justice in my opinion.

Goodbye OITNB
kanepeters-1819229 July 2019
This episode was truly amazing. Such a great way to end such a groundbreaking show. The end credits had me in tears. It was so great to see all the inmates that dissappeared after the Riot in Season 5. I will miss this show so much. It touched my heart in so many ways. Goodbye orange is the new black .. until we meet again.. It has been a Mmazing ride (alex❤)

Here is where we all say good-bye
BirdmanT711 August 2019
Back in 2013 when I first heard of this strange women in prison show called "Orange is the new black", the title was strange as the show itself?..however, after watching one episode I got sucked into it and never expected to be the avid fan of it as I did over the years. As I just saw the last season on Netflix, I had no idea this was the final season as it was towards the last two episodes, the last episodes really just got to me and I felt sad and yet also happy for how the show did end for some of the characters. I think this show could have gone at least gone 3 more season to make it to 10 seasons; but its always about the money with either cable channels or streaming media, its always the bottom line and making new shows and ending a show like OITNB was like ending "Game of Thrones".

I read a lot of reviews here; some liked the ending, some hated and mixed, I guess I fall into the mixed category, although I enjoyed the last episodes but what surprised is that original cast that were in the same prison Alex was sent to suddenly showed up in the last episodes and why were the neglected as the cast that made this show what it became.?! This didn't make sense to me?..ever since the big riots and change of prison for Piper and some of the cast moved to the new prison, the show felt was missing a "limb", the new cast didn't add any interest to me and in fact the show took a dive and season 5 and 6 were just close to awful; but I still watched them.

I think what moved the most in the last episode was the scene between Piper and her father about Alex and with her ex-boyfriend; who came out with this narrative about Piper's choices and what Alex meant. What he said to her about her feelings and advised her when he said "What would the new Piper do now"? and what turned out at the end when Piper drove to Ohio to change her life and when showed up to see Alex just blew my mind, because I was pretty sure she was going to be with the other new girl and that was what made this show so great when it came to characters and I guess close to real life, because Piper finally realized she has to make her own choices and regardless of her father or her Ex think about Alex, regardless if Alex is self-destructive; because at the end is about the connect they have and what they know about each other that is really about faith, its not about the cliche "love wins", its about what you feel inside that is right for you.

Piper's ex was correct about one thing that Alex did changer Piper's life by going to prison, but Prison made Alex also grew up to the sheltered life that she had always had with people whom she would never have come in contact with. Very few of us in life take that detour into the dark world where its takes on a journey; where the life we had changes to a life that we didn't expect and a harsh reality that we wake up to but that journey in itself is what makes us who we are and gives us strength to rise again.

Orange is the new black for me will always be among the best written shows, next to "Breaking Bad" and I loved this unknown cast that really created these great characters that we all got to like and dislike and even learn from. So; here is where we all say Good-bye !

Warning: Spoilers
The ending of the 8th episode was already too emotional. But the beginning of this one! Oh GOD!! Killing off Dogget was too much for me. She was litterally one of the main characters. I was litterally sobbing throughout the entire episode. I wish we knew what happened to maritza, Bennet, Ms. Claudette and I also wish we got more of angie & Leanne. The Ending Credits! OMG!!! And honestly knowing that Nicky is the new prison mommy is the best thing!

Saved the Best for Last
dsself453 September 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I spent most of the final episode crying. One of the best things about the episode was not everyone got a 'happily ever after' and the stories didn't just end. Broke my heart that Dogget died....that was probably the hardest part for me. I enjoyed seeing some of the original characters and how they included Poussey in the episode. Probably the only thing I didn't like was the Piper storyline. I realize this show wouldn't have existed without her, but she was the most annoying character & I really didn't care what happened to her. Felt the same way about the Daya character (and her mom). I will miss the show, but it was time to say goodbye.

Thank you for an unreal 7 years!!
alicej-1370624 August 2019
This show is simply the best show possibly ever. The characters, stories, award worthy acting really cannot be matched by the majority of other tv shows around. With an even mix of comedy, drama, romance and intense heartbreak I can't thank the writers and actors enough for giving us Orange is the New Black. I will keep rewatching this show for the rest of my life and recommending it to anyone, who for some unknown reason has not done themselves a favour and watched it yet!!

I was satisfied with how they ended, would like to have seen what happened to Daya.

Danielle Brooks who plays Taystee needs a Emmy for her performance, especially this season.. had me emotional.

Laughter and tears
chrisparker7 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
What a great send off. I binged the whole series and you get to know the characters, and love some, hate some. I get emotional at stuff, and have tears in my eyes. I'm a 58 year old guy. It was great to see some of the old characters that we lost after series 5. I was kind of hoping that Piper ended up with Zelda. I loved most of the series, although I found series 4 heavy going. It's weird, I didn't cry at the deaths of characters, but because the whole of the series came to end. Loved Suzzane, what an amazing characters. It was also good finding out what happened to characters who made it out..

This is just a tv show. Why did I cry so much?
johnthemorrison19 September 2019
Six years of OITNB. What's that? Twelve years, out in six with good behavior? I wonder what infractions you would have to commit... Anyway, my favorite characters have flip-flopped over and over each season, but in the end I loved them all, and it was sad to say goodbye. Bravo!

Seriously...
d-dick-dd15 January 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Why do Karla like that??... I felt so bad for that women all season. I have an icy cold heart but that scene in episode 11 where she talks to her kids for the last time almost brought this grown man to tears... almost. & then she's left for dead with a broken ankle. That's some cold shizz right there.

Also, what happened to daya?... did Alieda kill her?... guess we'll never know.

Definitely should've gave the other girls of Litchfield their own episode.

The amount of time you gave to Piper whining & crying about everything like a child, you could've used for an extra episode of the other Litchfield girls that disappeared after the Riot... Seriously!!

Not good
constanza-nm30 July 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This is not a good season, I think people have been giving it good scores out of nostalgia. It was depressing and not satisfactory at all. Also, I didn't think it was possible but Piper became even more annoying, Larry's description of her was spot on, probably one of the few worthy dialogs on the final episode, who would've thought. I only appreciate the five-second that we got to see that Pennsatucky actually did get her diploma. Thank you for that.

It Gets you thinking
jansb-041289 August 2019
Warning: Spoilers
It was a beautiful goodbye, with lots of bittersweets. But also gets you thinking about second changes and the harsh reality of leaving your country for a better life. I don't like that we don't know what happens next to Maritza. I'm also sad there was no appearance from Stella.

Finale ruined it all
thefonz138 August 2019
Warning: Spoilers
So many loose ends left open, so many unnecessary pints opened up. We left most of the ICE stories open ended why did we have to end Karla's in such a morbid note, it added nothing to the emotion or plot of this story at all. And to bring back all of these beloved characters for a line or two after being gone for a season or two is just a slap in the face.

What a way to end the series
slevine29212 September 2022
I feel like this is a series that could've gone longer, but was stopped at just the right time. Not many series can end their show with a bang, but OITNB did.

Laughter, tears, anger, death, this episode had it ALL. The entire series was great, even with some not-so-hot episodes, it always made a comeback. I'm going to miss it, but I am grateful for every year Netflix keeps it as an option for me to re-watch.

Thank you, Netflix. Thank you for Red and Nicky. For Piper and Alex. For taking a character like Pensatucky and really making me appreciate her. Thank you for opening my eyes to the goings on in women's prisons.

Emmy's abound for Netflix 2019 ground breaking season of OITNB
karaokekid-588-17516819 August 2019
Bravo, to this year and final season of Orange is the new Black! The actors performances were once again incendiary, with the usual suspects Uzo Aduba (Suzanne) Taylor Schilling (Piper) and Laura Prepon (Alex) once again, leading the way, on the fast track for another Emmy nomination. But hold the press, this season there were other notable performances that were certainly Emmy worthy as well. Among the gifted performances this season included Daniele Brooks, for her role as Tasty. Yael Stone, with her gritty performance as the psychotic Lorna, was simply over the top. And as a dark horse candidate, one of my favorites, the tried and true Joe Caputo, played by veteran actor Nick Sandrow, who very well could garner his first Emmy nomination, after ending a brilliant run this year. No doubt about it, this well rounded cast contributed to the monumental success of a show that will be remembered as, one for the ages, and destined to be enjoyed over and over again, by it's steadfast fan base.

Orange is the new black, the seven-year journey ends with this awesome episode.

Orange is the New Black Season 7 Episode 13

Review : While reviewing the last episode, I would like to say some thoughts. I am a boy, but still I find these girls troubles, conflicts, little things to enjoy, Going forward to help others without thinking about myself and keeping myself alive in this difficult situation, I was able to connect myself with all these things. This whole series has taught us a lot and with it this last episode has taught us a lot. I don't know how long I will be able to remember those words of this series but I respect each character enough and will try to keep it in my mind for the rest of my life.

Acting : Everyone has performed well enough in this episode as well as the whole series. A web series with seven seasons, 13 episodes in each season, That means we have seen a total of 91 episodes. Every actor and actress in every episode, whether they are the main character or the supporting character, whether the duration of his character is small or big, all perform very well.

Direction : After the cinematographer, if anyone's job is hard, it is the director. If the episode is good then the director is praised one after the other and If the episode is bad or slow or boring then the director is directly blamed. As such, the work of the director is really much more stressful. In the case of this episode, I would like to thank the director very much for giving us such a wonderful episode as a gift.

Story : I would like to thank the authors very much for gifting us with such a beautiful story and at the same time I would like to apologize to all the authors of this series. Because I have said a lot of good and bad things to the writers many times to make the episode seem personally boring to me. However, I would like to thank the author for this last episode. The writers really gave us a wonderful story through this last episode. We can't say how much the story of this last episode taught us.

Dialogue : For those who have written the dialogues of the episode, I would like to say that I have heard some wonderful and very high quality dialogues on this subject which have filled my mind.

Background Score : Talking about this makes me smile because from the beginning to the end of this series I loved the background score of very few episodes but the background behind this is really very good.

Soundtrack : An awesome soundtrack has been used in this episode. The sound has enough emotion, enough love, one can say in one line that it is a proper soundtrack that has adapted to the ending of the episode.

Cinematography : From what I have said before, I will say here that the work of a cinematographer is the hardest because nothing will be better if he does not capture the actors acting in the right angles. So many thanks to the cinematographer for giving us such a great episode.

Editing : Good enough editing has been done in the case of the episode and I would like to say that I have not seen any bad thing in the case of editing.

Lighting : Good enough lighting.

Overall Episode : I gave the last episode ten out of ten stars without hesitation. As a viewer, if I had the right to give more than 10 stars, I would have honored this episode with numerous stars.

Please forgive me if I have said anything bad while reviewing or if you have found anything bad. I have fully shared my personal comment with you.

A possible goof

Warning: Spoilers
After the riot in the old prison, Boo and half the gang were sent to Cleveland Ohio. Alex was sent to Columbus Ohio. Hmmmmm, I suppose Boo and the Gang were transferred from Cleveland to Columbus, same state, a two hour drive apart. I say this becuz Alex meets up with several former Litchfield prisoners in the final episode of the series.

Disappointing last season, anticlimactic finale
superfox_8886 August 2019
Farewell, OITNB. You had some good seasons but several meh seasons. It was time for you to go.

The whole last season was a slow burner. It meandered through mediocrity with no real bangs until the final minutes of the penultimate episode. The whole season could have been condensed into two episodes.

But let's talk about the finale. Nothing of note happened. Some characters got their happy ever afters, some didn't. They even brought back characters unseen for the entire season, gave them two lines, and moved onto the next. By now, viewers had forgotten, much less cared about, them.

Sadly, the show left with a whimper, not a bang. Really disappointing because it could have been really great.

The entire finale season was the worst yet
heather_lynn_brown2110 August 2019
I had a hard time paying attention this season. It took me a week to finish it, where every other season up until now I watched straight through. One of the most important plot points from last season is barely touched on. I get it, it's realistic. But it's also super depressing. Most of the best characters get a depressing end. Not to mention all the new characters and plot points that go nowhere. The entire season, and especially the finale, is big a mess.
