Vent
CinemaSerf10 November 2022
This starts off as quite a claustrophobic-feeling short feature centring around young "Rose" (Vala Noren) who lives with her boyfriend "Parker" (Harrison Osterfield). She hasn't left their home in over three years after a global pandemic forced her to shelter indoors. He has strong reservations as she gets more frustrated, but will she ever get to go outside again? It's impossible to do much character development in eighteen minutes and therein lies the problem here. It's not especially well acted and we don't really get into the dynamic of their relationship, nor quite why this scenario has gone on for such a long time. It is quite attractive to look at, as are the actors, but the story is incomplete and underwhelming and it does have a certain "so what?" about it all...

Another british attempt at making a 'deep' film but fails.
dickiesgood-7493612 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The acting from the lead male was... not great. The girl was better but it's not like she had a whole lot of dialogue.

The cinematogrophy was ok for the most part, except the out door scenes.

The story... well, it was predictable from around 3 minutes in.

Another example of a writer who thinks they're making something original, but fails. An example of a filmaker who straight up lies to you about what the movie is about.... SPOILER................................................................................................................ there's no pandemic, its about a controlling boyfriend who doesn't want to let his girlfriend outside.

Now, we all know this stuff happens in real life, and that is the argument people give you when you 'diss' a movie like this, but the fact that things happen in real life is no argument at all. If I want to see a depressing film about mental abuse, I'd watch one. If I want to watch a film about a pandemic, I expect a pandemic, damn it! Not a pathetic attempt to get noticed because it deals with poignant issues. There's something about British filmmakers, where they feel the need to inject this stuff in their films (and I'm British too) in hopes they'll get noticed or win awards. They can't just make an entertaining film without all this drama included. Do they not realise people watch films to get away from all the negativity in the world. Rant over.

Insufferable

I reviewed this title at a local producer's meet-up to gauge trends in the market. The consensus was pretty telling. Terrible.

To the filmmakers - please work on your story development and talent selection. These are pillars of successful content creation.

Pointless

Warning: Spoilers
A couple stay in the house three years after a pandemic . The boyfriend wears protective gear including a special type of mask every time he goes and won't let his girlfriend out of the house because he wants to keep her safe . She puts the gear on when he's in the shower and sneaks out of the house. She sees two small boys playing catch with no protective gear on. She takes off her mask and breathes in the fresh air and realises it's safe . The End Another film which isn't worth watching , Why it's in the 'horror ' category is a mystery.

The complete opposite of insufferable
MKimdbuk8 December 2018
I, unlike others who supposedly meet-up and gauge trends in the market, watched this short with the sole purpose of being entertained. Between myself and a few friends, the consensus was pretty telling. It was great.
