"Edhel" tells the story of a young girl with ears like an elve that is constantly bullied in school after her father passed away and her mother and her had to move. She finds some comfort in the possibility of actual elves existing and her being a part of them.
In general I would say that this is a rather strong film about bullying and its consequences. The supernatural element of the film is never confirmed, nor rejected which is a good solution in my opinion. There are a few noteable highs and lows in the plot, nonetheless sometimes the movie might remain a bit too calm to give its message the necessary power. I'm very pleased with the acting and other aspects of the film, I just think that there is still potential left for something bigger.
All in all this is a movie many kids should watch to understand better what bullying can do to people. The film chooses an interesting approach but at times remaines too calm.
