Portraits

Portraits at the end are former Secretaries of State. The one above Elizabeth is Thomas F Bayard, the 30th Secretary, under Cleveland. He stopped a possible war with Germany in the late 1880s over Samoa; with help from a hurricane.

Describes me perfectly

I had to chuckle at the end when Tim Daly and Keith Carradine discussed life - building model airplanes. I finished 45 years in the airline industry and what relaxes me now is building model airplanes. So far have built 65 models.

So So
Pegasus-1027 October 2022
I'm viewing episodes about four years after they were filmed, so I understand that current events in the show have not caught up with what I'm seeing in the world in Oct 2022. (It would be interesting to see how the writers would have handled the Russian invasion of Ukraine earlier in 2022.)

I still enjoy the interaction between Elizabeth and world leaders, and somewhat the family dynamics. Except for Blake, I really dislike all of the close staff of the Secretary. Keep hoping some of them will drop out to be replaced by more interesting actors (was hoping the man who played Neal, the journalist, Tim Kang would become a recurring character, but his IMBd credits don't show that happening.)

This is sort of like junk food you can watch while catching up on other things, like having dinner.

Correction

Henry McCord (Tim Daly) discusses model airplanes with Russell Jackson (Zelko Ivanek), not President Dalton (Keith Carradine).

Too partisan
hank-1932610 May 2018
Way too liberal views, too Hollywood. Script must be written by a socialist or a liberal elitist.

Whaaat, no lunch?!

Warning: Spoilers
I absolutely love this shoe. But, this episode devoted an enormous amount of time talking about the McCords partipating in Ramadan. The pain of the fast, would they be able to make it? Oh the suspense! Bottom line? They skipped lunch!!! Really??
