The Legend of Old Ulysses
bobcobb3017 March 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This show has been on fire since returning to TBS. This was not a special episode, but it just had so many jokes that landed and so many perfectly-thrown in references. Much more clever than Family Guy at this point.

A different episode... and in a great way
bellino-angelo201421 February 2021
In this episode the Smith family goes to Possum lake as Stan and Steve want to do all the father-son contests. However they have strong competition as Snot found a surrogate father online and they are much better than Steve and Stan in most of the contests. Steve manages to break them up and succedds, but after a while he feels sorry for what he has done. But trouble soon follows as a huge fish from a local legend named Old Ulysses menaces to destroy the regatta's boats and participants but Steve and Stan, with the unwilling help from Snot and his dad Tuttle manage to take down the fish forever. In the meanwhile Roger feels bored being alone in the woods and becomes the leader of a group of byciclists even tho he can't ride a bike and Francine and Hayley set out to get the darkest tan ever (and will get hallucinations in the process).

This episode was different as the writers managed to take a legend and make it look like it really existed. And Roger has never been funnier as he did in this episode especially when he becomes the leader of the byciclists group despite he is not a professional bike rider himself.

I really loved the SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE reference with Rosie O'Donnell voicing her same character from that movie. It's a thing most viewers won't notice unless they are movie buffs like me.
