A Robot who screams and limps when it gets a shard of Rock is its thigh, then grits its teeth when it puts a bandage around it, One minute her uniform is covered in blood the next minute its spotless the the next shot its full of blood again, The Commander has a gun that fires forever and ever and ever, AND just a team of 4 people to go down onto a planet to check out if it habitable.. They fly down to the planet in something like a flying Caravan. once on the ground it looks like a Portacabin. IF you want to enjoy just 1:35 minutes of your life, DO NOT bother watching this film, I wish I had watched something else, like a recording of Grass growing..

There is something wrong about this planet

Warning: Spoilers
In the year 2037 (don't ask) the MCS Nova Red is on a deep-space expedition, livable planets, natural resources, etc. Major Mason (Edward Gusts) is tasked to lead an expedition to an uncharted planet because they didn't use drones on Star Trek. The first part is the expedition getting picked off and the second part is the remaining crew fighting CG dinosaurs with a Romulan cloaking device from outer space.
The music was the 1980's style and the film looks like it is from that era. Acting lacked. The guns were noticeably plastic.
Guide: F-word. Sex. Nudity (Cody Renee Cameron, Whitney Nielsen )

Out of compassion for other imdb viewers, I decided to write this warning.:
This film will spoil 1h30m of your life. The best that can be said about it is that the robotic lady in spandex is attractive. Special effects are bad, continuity is full of flaws, the acting is...what am I saying, there is no acting here. You keep watching, madly hoping that the ridiculous plot will make any sense, till the very ending, only to find out there is NO ending, the last scene does not make any sense, you feel like the movie has been cut short abruptly.
Stay away from this meaningless and instantly forgettable waste of time.

Ludicrous, but not enough to be funny. Avoid.

So cheesy it could have been shot in West Germany in 1988. I think they wanted to make some kind of revival of eh eighties. The CGI are awful. The costumes and make up are cheap. The music is unbearable. The voice of the human-like robot is... a robot voice.
The story ? The crew lands on a desert planet to assess for any malicious lifeforms. So they walk in the desert without any space/hazmat suit, just to catch any airborne bacteria or virus, but they must not touch the plants, no no no. then someone has a nosebleed but no quarantine, because "Don't f... drink that water". It is ludicrous, but not enough to be funny. Avoid.

Where do i start, when you decide to make a sci fi movie the very least you can do is have decent FX, i recently saw the movie Beyond white space and its top notch, the FX where pretty good acting etc, but this movie is none of that.
The main lead is a joke, and quit unbelievable as a tough male lead, the acting looks terrible, its like they wanted to create a 80 type of feeling but missed all the point.
This movie like a lot of other sci fi very micro budget should be avoided at all cost.

Continuous Muisc Ruins the Movie
MajorBaleegh3 October 2018
Today I watched the movie "Alien Expedition", the story was good, the acting of the robot named Aurora was super excellent whereas the rest of the cast was below average especially the major and the team of special ops, apart from that the continuous music in the back ground in every scene from the company "Meteor" was super annoying and complete pain in the butt. Had there been music on appropriate places this movie should have scored well. I enjoyed the story especially the gadgetry and the dinosaur that camouflage with the rocks was a good idea. Had there been a big budget it would surely be a great hit movie of the year. Moreover, once a meteor rock hits the robot she started lingering as she forgot she is a robot and made of metal not flesh. Sound designer "Luke Gibleon" needs beating for making such a pathetic and absurd music and ruins the entire movie. I gave this movie 5 out of 10 and the reason for a lesser score was the annoying background music, which was excessively out of synchronization and timings.

Pot-boiler in outer space.

Warning: Spoilers
ALIEN EXPEDITION is a "space opera" in its purest, traditional sense. Replace the alien planet with frontier land, replace the space alien monsters with the now politically incorrect "Indians on the warpath", swap out space explorers for settlers, change some dialogue terms and voilà, the same script can make a passable horse opera.
It's cheap 'n cheesy, low-budget, uncomfortably under-acted or gloriously overacted in turns and full of enthusiasm for itself. That alone was enough to make me like it.
Naturally, the plot line couldn't be simpler. Exploration spaceship lands on alien planet to investigate its viability for colonization. Everybody walks around a little bit, discover the local water is poison, some space alien creatures come on stage to provide a continuous threat on through to the end. People get chomped and die in an inexorable progression. And we wrap it all up with an open-ended confrontation between a monster and the last remaining crew member. We fade to black as her android eyes flash with grim determination; did she survive or didn't she? The end.
All the characters are paper doll cutouts: the wise old space dog with the eyepatch and bottomless flask of alcohol in his back pocket who has seen it all, the young and brash Capt.-esque character, the emotionless but extra sexy-looking android who gets pretty dern emotional by the end of the picture, the tough ethnic warrior chick resplendent in face paint, and the extra well-built teched-up armed-to-the-teeth black guy in the extra-large economy size with the cool shades.
There's a small smorgasbord of monsters to make it interesting, but by far the primary troublemakers are these velociraptor looking things of various sizes with large fin-like ear flaps that look like swim fins flapping in and out on either side of their heads. Oh, and they also have the ability to turn themselves invisible at will. And lots of teeth.
The music? Extra loud and banging generic (and eminently forgettable) rock 'n' roll music to go with all the scenes where anyone is being "tough and spacey" or "meeting tough challenges head-on" or "facing the unknown" or "battling merciless alien creatures with bravery against all odds".
The "weapons" are clearly doctored up from spare parts from somebody's garage workbench. The double-barreled "big Bertha" rapidfire job I think was a repurposed electric leaf blower from Home Depot with a makeover involving glued-on bits and some plastic paint.
No one could say, with a straight face, that this is a genuinely excellent movie. But it did hit its target and it's a movie that is what it set out to be. Most of the low-budget sci-fi potboilers that slouch across my screens are just unwatchable. I found this one to be tolerable because it was obviously making its best effort on its $37.42 budget. The special-effects were, of course, uneven, some of which were terrible (the android blasting away with her big gun in slow motion and you can see the barrel of this devastating weapon wiggling back and forth like it's made of rubber) and some of which weren't half bad (the alien landscape and skies and the obligatory meteor strikes that fell with great regularity).
As I rate movies based upon how well they are realized within the context of their own genre and circumstances, I gave this movie a relatively high rating. I would NOT recommend this movie to unsympathetic eyes or anyone from the "On Golden Pond was the greatest movie ever made" crowd. It definitely could have been better but it wasn't all that bad for what it was.

Expedition of lousiness
TheLittleSongbird28 February 2019
To make things clear right off the bat, there is no personal bias against low-budget films. There never has been regardless of what people might think reading past reviews that have seen me be quite critical. There are good ones out there. 'Alien Expedition's' concept was not the best, it didn't look good and part of me did think there was a high chance it would be executed poorly, but there was something about it that semi-intrigued.
Just for the record, giving a film the lowest possible rating is incredibly rare for me these days, trying to be a fair reviewer trying to see the good in everything viewed. That rating is only reserved for films etc. that look like no effort or heart was put into it and like nobody was trying, a cardinal sin in film but actually not committed all that often in my mind. 'Alien Expedition' is one of the worst examples of this in recent memory.
Visually, 'Alien Expedition' looks incredibly cheap even for something made on a low budget. It's very drably and sometimes dizzyingly shot, incoherently edited (bacon-slicer-like) with glaring and unforgivably sloppy continuity errors and even the scenery doesn't make much impression despite being actually the least bad aspect of the film. Even worse are some of the most laughable and pathetic-looking special effects to be seen on celluloid, actually looking they were done as an afterthought and on the small remainder of the money they had left.
Can remember little about the music, which tended to be intrusive annoying, due to being used constantly and it gives one a nauseating headache, and never harmonious with what is going on, almost like it was written for something else. The dialogue is utter gibberish and truly juvenile and unnatural. How it was approved beyond first draft is beyond comprehension.
There is absolutely nothing thrilling, tense, suspenseful, emotionally investable or fun about the story. The predictability may have been forgivable if the film was actually engaging let alone exciting but it fails to be either throughout. Lets not get started on how insultingly nonsensical and ridiculous it is, things similarly are so vague and confused that coherence was also a major issue in places. Any conflict had no urgency, imagination, fun or menace at all, it was all just dull and dumb, and looked cheap.
As sort of expected, there are illogical and irritating character behaviours that makes one endear to them even less in a film with not one interesting or rootable character. There is not one halfway decent performance either, almost like they weren't even trying, with an unbearably wooden lead actor and a main actress who even for a robot character takes robotic to extremes, her attractiveness is nowhere near enough to hide that.
Summarising, a very lousy film and that is being generous. Best avoided. 1/10

samsungannaindia18 July 2022
This SiFi movie is having a mix of startreck, some dynasor humanoids as well as robots in a new planet fighting for existence with a misssion to find out what resources of planet are available to use. It's a mix veg soup where all ingredients are mixed up. To sell soup in a market of fast food u need more. Poor acting, poor props old 80s kind of music.

Warning: Spoilers
To be honest, the only reason I stayed with this film was because of the hot science officer called Aurora, who had a twinkle in her eye. The fact she was an android made her more alluring still, especially in those revealing overalls. A natural rival for the hot and humorous female android in Jason X. Aurora is the reason for the 3 stars. She is too good for this film, apart from when she is limping.
As others have commented, the acting (apart from Aurora's) is very poor as is the script. The Major would struggle to command a Poodle, and the marines were about as intimidating and hard as a cream puff. I will not dwell on the Special Effects or rationales; the scene where Aurora has a bit of stone sticking out of her thigh and she winds a bandage around her thigh defies all logic, particularly when she, an android, starts grimacing in pain.
Actually, apart from the ravishing Aurora, the film was also interesting in one other way (OK, stretching it...) and that was catching the large number of films it pays homaaaage to (aka copies). My personal favourite is when the team were standing outside and one says "Wow, I felt a tremor", and another says "Yes, definitely a tremor", and a third says "What's causing the tremors?", and suddenly out of the earth bursts forth a large Graboid type creature! I am guessing this is the reason the other dinosaurs stayed on the rocks where possible. I half expected someone to exclaim "If we can capture that thing we will definitely be bringing home the bacon..."
So my advice; watch the first 10 minutes, if you like Aurora then continue watching, if not then switch off, unless you like a bit of fun.

Warning: Spoilers
Most people gave this movie such a low score. The first 3 times should tell you what kind of movie you are watching. This is Alien Expedition, not Alien Covenant. It's a low budget sci-fi movie. I wasn't expecting a masterpiece and accepted it for what it was. I thought it was pretty decent. This movie is clearly influenced by 80's horror and sci-fi and I am a sucker for it.
Don't waste your time!

The ugliest and silliest sci-fi movie I've ever seen. I wonder if the script writers were thirteen. I still have to understand what they were aiming to. But I should have realized this right from the cheap soundtrack sounding like a porn from the nineties.
Worst writing in film history.
jditch21 September 2020
Within the first 4 minutes we had a smoking will kill you joke, 'you only lasted 2 minutes' sex joke and an angry second officer that only gives short angry answers. We also had one of those scenes where the commanding officer explains everything by asking the protagonist obvious questions.
Oh and just before I switched off, somebody said "You've never lead one of those expeditions in the field before".
Just keep it. Whoever wrote this should be industry blacklisted.

Jurassic - Alien ... I reckon in America they had to go with Alien. Less of a franchise steal or whatever ... on the other hand, I am not sure what works best as title. Not that one title or the other changes anything about how the movie works ... or if it works for you at all.
I do like or have a heart for low budget movies. This did catch me a bit by surprise at the beginning. And I don't mean the love scene (though I did not expect that either), but that it almost felt like a legit B-movie ... something that might have been something a lot better I reckon ... I don't blame the actors ... I don't see too many flaws for what the movie represents ... but that doesn't mean it will find a lot of fans ... the special effects are .. well ok is the best I can offer ... again budget and all that.
