It's Alive At The Nuart: The 40th Anniversary Screening With Larry Cohen (2018)

*** (out of 4)

This title of this thirteen-minute featurette pretty much tells you what you're getting into. Director and writer Larry Cohen spoke about his 1974 horror film after a screening and thankfully it was taped for those who weren't able to be there. I'm really starting to enjoy these types of featurettes because it gives you a chance to see the director shortly after a screening and there's also the crowd that adds a little fun to it. Cohen gets asked some nice questions from the moderator and manages to tell some very entertaining stories including how he got the film made, the terrible reaction it got at first and how it eventually took off. There are some really nice stories told throughout the running time so fans of the film or the director will certainly want to check this out.
