This is a wonderful show. Breathtaking scenery, great cast, informative and keeps you locked in. Definitely a show one could live vicariously through by watching, then you find yourself looking up plane ticket prices by curiosity! Great show!

Steve is a true adventurist and creates exciting viewing while sharing his ecological knowledge of places and species, and emphasizes the importance of working with experts for various challenges.
He is respectful to his crew, respectful to the land, and respectful to the local people and traditions. Many of the expeditions coincide with conservation efforts.
Instead of being a false 'tough guy', he shows true courage by sharing his fears, and then powering through, or else acknowledging his limits without shame. However he is obviously super conditioned and experienced with extreme endurance conditions. He is a fantastic version of the "world's most interesting man". His excitement is sometimes over the top at first but it becomes endearing as you watch more episodes, and it can help get kids interested. Excellent role model for youngsters.
And the cinematography is stunning. Im hoping for a season 3.

Whilst Steve navigates his way through an icy coast off Greenland. He feels the need to constantly remind the audience how close he is to a horrific icy death!
Overly dramatic, which unfortunately ruins the beautiful backdrop and important message of climate change.
Halfway through and I've heard little from the other 3 professionals he has with him.
Disappointing, I'm out!

Well, he has found a new approach to expeditions in the wildest of the wildest of nature (sic.), but is it working? Well, he is probably making money out of it, so in that case, yes. But for other then the petty tv channels who buys in these "extreme expedition" series.....no. We are in the 20 century, and when you have to create unnecessary ways or obstacles to reach your meaningless goals, it just gets embarrassing. You are not Amundsen, Nansen, Scott or Hillary, and you never will be. Nansen was the first to cross Greenland in 1888, that's it basically. If you also want to do it, you're too late to get famous. But hey! Maybe if you try to walk over Greenland alone, blindfolded, backwards and naked........maybe then you have your claim to fame? But not by me. Pretty pictures though, haha.
