Not bad - give it a try!

Pink collar crimes is a docu-series exploring the growing crime graphic of female criminals. Watching from the first episode, I think that this series has great potential. I thoroughly enjoy how each episode is something new, showcasing crimes that may be overlooked or not noticed as much, because it was a female perpetrator.

Yes - some reenactment scenes can be hokey but the overall play-by-play of the entire episode flows nicely. The show really tries to match up little details of each reenactment, such as wig color or item placement - to really help the viewer understand what is happening. Also, most episodes seem to have family/friends/colleagues of the perpetrator to help set the storyline, while other episodes can be narrated by the perpetrator herself (See Ep 5: She Wolf of Wall Street). They both have their own charm and I really enjoy seeing how the women reflect on their actions.

I don't know where all the negative reviews are coming from, but I really hope that this show can have a chance for a 2nd season. I think that the concept is interesting and doesn't really take itself serious since the crime/punishments have already been settled in court or taken place years ago. It's just a breath of fresh air.

Give this show a chance! It might be your new Saturday night show.

Interesting stories told in an interesting way.

I only watch true crime stories because my other half likes them. I enjoyed this one though. The crimes only connection is they were all carried out by women. They vary between armed robbery and fraud. Its nice to watch a true crime story that is not just murder.

The stories are mostly told by someone involved with the story with the odd reenactment. A woman who I do not know but maybe because I am British, pops up every so often with a comment. There is also interviews with other people involved. I like that the person telling the story changes. First week it was the person who carried it out, second week it was a victim and the third week it was the private investigator who tracked the criminal down (several times).

Its a good true crime series and slightly better than others. Its about women committing crimes but its not feminist tripe. I really would give this a go.

These people must have fallen out of the stupid tree and hit every branch on the way down

Some criminals have pulled off some of the most infamous crimes in the history of criminology. The 2.6 million pound Great Train robbery from Glasgow to London in 1963, and the 5.8 million U.S. dollar Lufthansa heist was a robbery at John F. Kennedy International Airport in 1978 both come immediately to mind.

The weekly episodes of the Pink Collar Crimes series are nowhere near as brilliant, nor as infamous. Rather, each of these episodes crimes could have been caused by one of our own family members, neighbors, or fellow school parents, and quite frankly lean between being petty crimes, or simply just stupid crimes by stupid people who obviously have few morals and have a "I don't give a shoot attitude".

Each episode utilizes actors in an attempt to re-enact the so-called crimes and in most cases these crimes are significant enough that if you google the criminals name(s) there is most likely a documented story on what actually transpired and what the subsequent jail sentence that was imposed, unless the apparent criminal was found not guilty by a jury of their peers.

These episodes are worth watching but don't expect to be wowed or to stay intrigued as the actors who explain their side of the episodic story on behalf of the criminal(s) they are appearing on behalf of are low budget performances with minimal budgets expended on the series.

Better than most show of this type.

Yeah, Marcia Clark was a bad choice and the trailer really sucks. But the show does take you inside the persons head and what happened. The news is so full of half-truths about crimes that I think it is good to have the person who committed the crime speak, as well as the people they hurt, and everyone's lawyers.

This show does let you know what happens to people after they are convicted and that is really important.

Really cheesy but not filling

The reenactments are bad and the actual stories seem to be missing cool detail that were presented in other better true crime shows.

Warning: Spoilers
Not sure how a person who is convicted of a felony did time can now do health care for elderly and disabled seems far fetched. Working in health care especially working with elderly and disabled you could not have a felony. That made her seem like the crazy scary old lady that would kill an old person for the money in the end.

Marcia Clark's Latest Disaster

OMG, this is the worst excuse for a show that I have seen in a long time. Pitiful acting by all somewhat narrated by the actual very stupid Soccer Mom. BTW, you don't work on your recovery day-to-day by sipping red wine at the end of the show. Would have liked to give the show a ZERO!

The Ultimate Spoof of Reality Crime Shows?
At first I thought this was just another bad reality crime show until it hit me that this was actually a spoof of the genre done just close enough to not being totally obvious that it even fooled another reviewer here. It's comedic genius and worthy of at least 3 stars. It was so good I made it almost half way through!
