When Bishop and Torres arrive at suspect David West's home, they see him working under the hood of his truck. They call his name and he immediately runs inside. I wonder why he would do this? TO GET HIS GUN! Torres and Bishop don't chase West, they don't unholster their guns, in fact, they don't do ANYTHING until after automatic gunfire erupts at them through a window. Before that happens, Bishop is shown standing still with her mouth wide open. Do we really need a law enforcement consultant for this scene? It is common sense. The suspect took cover and may be barricaded. We don't know what weapons he has so we need to take cover and call for backup. Do not just stand there like idiots until shots ring out. Reviewers rarely blame the director but that is the one person who could have made a difference in this scene. Once again, EVERYTHING in a crime drama MUST be believable to the viewer! This scene really doesn't make sense for Torres with his background. HE needs to be the one to grab Bishop and take cover as soon as the suspect runs inside.
