The Best Side Story for the Seven deadly sins

Fills the between season void

Warning: Spoilers
After finishing the series off a friends recommendation, this was a welcome shock and just as good as the mainline series. A tale of mistaken identity which allows for the trademark comedy and telling of a new and ambitious story it was nice to see the film experiment with a more grand narrative and 3D animation styles infused with the iconic look of the show. As said in my Letterboxd review it's a shame it's going to be marked as non-canonical as frankly another 15 minutes of runtime could've been an excellent way to bridge season 3 and 4 (latter scheduled for a 2019 release) by reuniting the sins and following the film's plot, branching out the universe and providing some very interesting sub plots such as Hawk's Mom being the great white mother of chaos or even Hawks transformation ability which is yet to be seen in the show in such a manner. Additionally it would allow for the Celesitals/Sky people to possibly feature in the shows upcoming seasons to join the main cast of characters but given the fact it can be discarded as a one off it's a shame such potential was wasted. On the whole though there's not much to dislike, the same humour and charm are present and it's ambitious telling a rounded story in little under 1 hour 40, if you've got the time but more importantly seen the series I'd highly recommend a viewing to feed you appetite for the seven deadly sins, an enjoyable watch

Warning: Spoilers
From the series to the mini season 2 Netflix has given us, this show has lived up to hype and expectations from awkward or funny Meliodas interactions (depends on how you see it) to highly explosive fights. This movie is really no exception to every reason you would watch the series.
You learn about a whole new world you feel like you already know. Well, it's almost the opposite in every way from location to characters. Meliodas and his "doppelganger" Solaad felt like the same person with only one difference. Finding his courage. Meliodas you can say already has the confidence and courage to do anything he wants while Solaad had the weight on his world and had to learn to stand up to show he really was a leader. The contrast between the two gave such a connection to both worlds, being the surface and the sky world. You get a part of both worlds shared to finally join and be one giant force.
The opening of the movie felt like a history lesson to the sky world and gave just enough information to understand the joint to both worlds. The introduction of the characters felt natural but a little coincidental, but that can slide. And from the old characters feeling nostalgic and the new characters feeling like the first bite of a delicious "apple pie" that Solaad makes not Meliodas.
Action was a big part in this film and felt like it was just enough to maybe a little too easy, the 6 knights felt almost like a cake walk. Other than the difficulty the fights looked steller. And the final beast actually felt like it was something to max out everyones power to defeat, even if it didn't fight back at all, it felt like a ticking time bomb to save the sky world.
The one complaint I had towards the movie is with 3 of the 6 knights. They felt like stop signs you could just plow through with ease and were pretty uninteresting. The looks of all the knights felt good but not great. Interesting choices there but nothing too compelling. (Other than the needles, that was really cool) Also I didn't feel as
This movie definitely reached my high expectations with action, characters, and introducing new villains and heroes. Even if some of the villains felt a little lackluster, they still added to the films greatness. I recommend this film to anyone who loves great action, uncomfortable humor, and an overcoming an impossible task story to anyone!

Fantastic Movie

Honestly the Movie was just incredible, it really delivered on the storyline, character development, action scenes and comedic jokes. I just loved; the style and how each character was important to the plot.
I was watching in bed, in the darkness, giggling with hype and happiness, I cant remember the last time a Movie brought me so much joy. I cant wait to watch it again!

The Downfall of an Incredible Anime

Warning: Spoilers
I have a lot of issues with this movie for starters. Although the anime itself is something that I love dearly, the movie is something I loathe. To begin, one of the strengths of the anime is the fact that there is no filler. There is the four episode special between the seasons, but most don't consider that to be part of the story. Seven Deadly Sins: Prisoners of the Sky is entirely filler, bringing no extra enhancement into the story. Had this movie been built on a side story, I would have enjoyed it much more.
It is also very difficult to pinpoint where this filler fits into the anime. There is a very short segment when all of the sins are together which is the only possible placement for this movie, but still, due to Meliodas's lack of emotions, putting it here does not make sense, and it cannot be put anytime later because at that point the story dives into the curse.
Because the story introduces plenty of new characters, we have wonder: Where were they during all of this time? It feels like a disruptive plot hole that I cannot get over.
As a manga reader, watching certain scenes was brutal, specifically the scene in which a sword is stuck inside Meliodas's chest, a sword only a goddess can pull out. Obviously, with Elizabeth being a goddess, which is what she is called, I could not help screaming in frustration at the ignorance of the characters. Even if most didn't know about her goddess side, Merlin would know, so she could have easily solved the problem.
The worst part of this entire movie was not the storyline itself, but the issues the movie caused inside the company. Because it generally flopped, A-1 Pictures decided to drop the anime and move onto other, more successful animes like SAO (bleh). The storyline had to be continued so Studio DEEN picked the story up and, if I may say, butchered it. This is the reason the quality of animation is so poor in season three. And, the reason for this can all be traced back to this movie. Overall, I find the movie to be boring and cringy in some areas. I am truly disappointed at what this movie has caused in the future of SDS.

I knew a quarter through this animation that it was a 10/10.

*Allow me to start with this; I've never written a review for a film before.
I'm just a guy who enjoys quality content and anime comes close to the top of my list among my favorite kinds of content. This film was so good I had to voice my opinion. Thank you.
THE REVIEW:
After watching both seasons of "The Seven Deadly Sins" and having all of the backstory to go on, the story in this movie is so perfect for the characters from TSDS. It was suspenceful, drawing, and honestly emotional at times. The animation is top notch, exactly what I would expect for TSDS which is filled with intense fighting and lots of magic. I enjoyed every minute of this movie! Not to mention, it's on Netflix!! How could I complain? Great Work, Noriyuki Abe and Yasuhito Nishikata!! 10/10

Best movie ever!!! Patiloquita deal with them
rajdyou16 July 2020
The performance of the pig called Patiloquita was spectacular, the plot a ten. The pig "Patiloquita" is very powerful, she deserves to be made a series for herself, here I propose a title for the series "The adventures of Patiloquita after the great war". A kiss and a hug. XOXOXO
Good Watch

Best animated movie in a long time reminiscent of the good old times as a kid. I recommend due to great story line , awesome Animation, characters , fight scenes. You name it oh yes and the Music does it justice the atmosphere the movie creates is enveloping and there's no way you won't get goosebumps throughout certain parts.
The whole intro to the great Oshiro and Mael's sword just are an icing on top.
Loved it
Pretty Great

Overall this movie has the same overall feel of the show. It has amazing animation, great fight scenes, and an entertaining story. I'm not sure where this fits in with the show's cannon, and I don't care because it was just amazing. I would highly recommend checking this out, even if you're not a fan of the show.

Best side story

Best side story of SDS. Most Beautiful animation! I really ejoyed the story, very well written.
The story really captures the characters the right way, personally I feel like the writers lost control of the ending in the manga and the last seasons of the animated series have kind of ruined it for me. But watching this movie always shows me what SDS could and should have been. The movie is an absolute masterpiece. The animation is beautiful and detailled. I watched this movie many times with friends and we all agree they should have made more movies with regard to the adventures of the SDS.
I am writing this review in the hope that in the future more animated masterpieces like this will come. If you loved the concept of SDS and are dissapointed in the ending/last seasons/knights of black etc. You will love this movie! Remember this movie will always be an amazing story on its own!

It is very helpful to know when and how this movie was created, to know that those people were able to do a great job with the movie and the voices because when I saw this movie I felt all the emotions of the characters
