What more can I say? I love this show, it's seriously good. The music choices are excellent, the set pieces are awesome, and the acting is top notch. Another great episode.

The race is on.

A fabulous follow up develops the story and simultaneously ups the ante as both the Americans and the Russians declare their hands and a new space-race direction is proposed. Fidelity, loyalty and honesty are at stake and relationships adjust to the new normal.

Sometimes you watch something and are Blown Away

Warning: Spoilers
Was not expecting much with this series, stupid idea. But now watching Episode 2 "yes it's stupid" but the Acting, Music, Sets from the 60s, are Superb. This is Good it's Dam Good.

It's one of these Rare Series that you have to watch every second, you can't leave the screen The stuff about the V2 rocket and the German scientists were done so well. Very clever, asking questions many thousands of people have asked. We know the truth if there was no German Scientists there would have been NO Space Race.

I love Space, NASA, saw a rocket launch in April. This episode has made me Question Myself. I lost family to the V1, V2 rockets in London, also lost family in the camps. Should I love NASA? Wear the jackets, worship the Space Race. For me this is the 1st programme I have watched to tackle this subject is this clever way Yes we know about Operation Paperclip.

As for the women taking over comments if you watch. The brilliant Hidden Figures, women played a major part in NASA, Human Computers as they were called, its a quality film, but also a shocking film the way black people were treated in these days in the US. And back to the TV Programme Nazi's also hated black people.

Race.... Trail... and dreams

Relationships, when pitted against such high stakes, become a heated and emotional affair. For All Mankind Season 1 Episode 2, "He Built The Saturn V," looks into whether we really know someone over the years, and whether we must accept them for who they are then and now, or to move on completely. The Apollo team able to set flight and return home is rather sudden, and rather positive. Some shows would take the time to bring them home with many faults and errors along the way; For All Mankind, though, is looking forward to a bigger concept, and rather move at a faster clip. The episode taking on the women's perspective of this era is a fantastic change of pace. Margo, and Wrenn Schmidt with her portrayal, brings an enthusiasm to her love of the work, and so becoming the first woman in mission control will hopefully bring with it chances to prove herself. Her closeness to Wernher is one of the more endearing friendships on the show, their quiet times together and quips back and forth this father/daughter sort of relationship that really speaks volumes about the care they have for each other and for the work they do. It makes the reveal later on during the episode that much more heartbreaking for her. Karen convincing Tracy not to divorce Gordo is certainly a window into the ways of the past, of the view of divorce and a woman's responsibility to her family. It feels so foreign now, with Karen's pleas for Tracey to do right by her family. Karen's advice may be in the right place, but in the modern day, it feels like she is saying all the wrong things. It's this moral dilemma of the time period being a burden.

Balance is key

Warning: Spoilers
The writers tackled the complexities of Wernher von Braun's character with nuance. The show was able to balance the two extremities of his career: the important role he played in science, and his involvement in the atrocities of the Third Reich.
