This isn't Clone Wars material
Salamalad4 April 2020
Bad writing of characters and story, this just feels like a giant interlude. Except these are the final episodes of the show.

A long step back from the original show.
ultroks29 March 2020
Its not bad, but its far from quality of previous seasons...seems like they downgraded whole Ahsoka's progression ,she is back to being naive and foolish... We aren't seeing a strained Ahsoka striking out on her own in the chaos of the final months of the war, instead we are seeing her help two nobodies for no reason. It's very disappointing that they decided to give us boring episodes and arcs for last season, instead Cad/Boba arc and the Ventress/Vos arc.

Awful writing
nathanhalliday-1308928 March 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Slightly better than last weeks episode just because they actually left the boring hangar bay but this time the plot is just stupid. They are delivering spice and then one of the sisters dumps all of it for no reason at all but they still go to the Pykes anyway. I'm really disappointed with this arc you'd think every episode would be near perfect considering they've only got 12 episodes to finish the story of the Clone Wars but instead we get a meaningless no-doubt Disney fueled plot about 3 females that adds nothing to the story at all. The Siege of Mandalore arc better be perfect to make up for this trash.

"Deal No Deal"
lassegalsgaard3 April 2020
Did anyone ever want to see Ahsoka smuggle spice? If anyone did, this is the episode for you. The premise of the last episode felt like it would be leading somewhere. Unfortunately, this episode didn't run with that at all, and instead decided to go on a completely different route. The episode didn't feel like it connected with the last at all. The sisters were different this time around, with Trace being more of an idiot and someone with no idea of how anything works, which might actually be a good thing if they'd just done that from the beginning. The episode had its share of weird cameos, some of which felt incredibly forced. The idea of setting the thing on Kessel could have been a good premise, but it didn't really have any role to play at all. As a continuation of the last episode, this didn't go the direction I thought, nor the direction it should have gone. It didn't remind me of an episode for this series at all, even though I did ultimately find it enjoyable enough to like it. Ahsoka is still an interesting character, and I hope that we're going to see more of that classic Ahsoka in the future episodes.

Another Episode Wasted
ljlultimate4 April 2020
Is it as bad as the previous episode? No. However we are in the final season of what has been a great show in The Clone Wars and we're watching one of the most interesting, layered, developed characters in the series smuggle spice. A totally irrelevant episode which yet again seems like another filler. With only 6 episodes left of Season 7 I feel like this could end up being an opportunity wasted to make a grand, jaw dropping final season of the show, but I hope I'm proved wrong.

Both a Good and Bad Example of a Morally Grey Character
Uzer_error40429 March 2020
This was a good re-introduction to Ahsoka's character (though it does leave a lot left to be explained, which is a good thing).

I do agree with most reviewers about the Martez sisters. I get the direction that the show-runners were going with these character's but to me, they were kind of aggravating. Most of the time, both sisters make pretty dumb decisions for basically no reason. I feel Disney was going down this route of creating a morally ambiguous character who is just out for their own interest. But they've already have that with Ahsoka.

I can sense that Disney was trying to paint the Martez sisters this way, but in the end they were just way too selfish and dense and not all that likable.

We'll see what will happen to these two, but like most people, I don't care if they live or die at this point. Plus, we already know Ahsoka got out of this situation so there really isn't that much suspense.

Um.

Warning: Spoilers
Hi, I'm a two-dimensional character who isn't interesting in any way, shape, or form. Anyway, we need to take this spice to a crime syndicate otherwise they're probably going to kill us. I have an idea, for no reason whatsoever, other than the script needs me to, I'm going to dump the spice into space like the two-dimensional lifeless character that I am.

Not bad but could be better.

This is a new turn for the star wars franchise this show is cherished by fans including myself, the bad batch episodes in my opioion were brilliant. This episode is not perfect whilst it is better than the previous it does have flaws most charecters besides asokah were annoying.

This however has its pros whilst a seemingly simple story it has a cool insight into the wider galaxy and the issues within the galaxy. I saw someone call this episode childish but it looks at mob bosses and slavery.

Overall it was a decent episode but can we see some action for our former padawan

Interesting concept, meh execution.
matthewwatts-3541328 March 2020
Honestly this could have been the first episode of the arc and it would've been better. The 2 sisters are a lot less unbearable in this episode and the story is actually interesting and explores an interesting side of the star wars universe unlike last episode. However the pacing and writing is really off in some places and certain characters making weird decisions ruins this episodes potential. There is one scene that gave me chills which I really enjoyed and i wish we had more of that in these episodes because frankly it's lacking.

A significant improvement over last week's episode
jerbearq28 March 2020
The animation in this season never fails to impress and only seems to get better. In terms of story, this episode was poorly paced, but far more interesting and tense than last weeks, and felt like more of a proper introduction to the arc. I'm excited to see the rest of Trace, Rafa and Ahsoka's adventure.

Ok so last 2 episodes have sucked! Why bring new character arcs in when we only have 12 episodes of this.

Tell the story we all want! Dumb episode

Still love the clone wars though

This arc keeps getting better in terms of story. It was a little silly at times but I enjoyed this episode and am looking forward to the next one.

Watching this was frustrating
chrism25-919-5497767 April 2020
I'm a big fan of the clone wars and this season started off pretty well. However, everything about this episode, ranging from the surface-level characters to the idiotic decisions they made just made me cringe with disappointment.

Spice running from the mines in Kessel.
A_Kind_Of_CineMagic7 October 2020
This story is rather like Solo as it takes us into the criminal smuggling world we heard about way back in the first Star Wars film.

I like how this shows us that world and explores the immorality of what went on. I also like the fun adventure with sparky female characters which is entertaining.

Yes this is basically a filler story which is a strange choice for the final season but on its own merits it is enjoyable and this episode is more interesting and fun than the previous episode.

My rating: 7.5/10.

No relevance, no entertainment
edesberg31 March 2020
Wtf is this? Final season of a cancelled show, why are no story threads being picked up? This makes no sense. Even if they interweave in the final two episodes, it is too annoying to waste time on these uninteresting new characters and a pointless story. So disappointed!!

WHy is this even part of Star Wars, we all as fans wanted to see Ahsoka in a grand story arc where she saves or contributes to the whole galaxy not some low life sisters from coruscant that don't as add anything useful that anyone cares for

I trust in Dave & Ashley
linussundvall-0522131 March 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This episode was better than th last. People are complaing about bog getting action or anything. They don't realise this is more of a character study towards Ahsoka. Ashley Eckstein said in the podcast "The Rule of Two" that what happens to Ahsoka this arc is important to where her character goes in the Siege of Mandalore.

The story is getting and going. They are catched by the Pykes and the story will go on and lead in to the Siege of Mandalore which Dave wrote personally. Have hope guys. 8/10.

Disney Garbage
bompald24 September 2020
The influence of Disney in this new season has been apparent, but especially in these last two episodes. Almost no plot, horribly paced, terribly bland new characters, the list goes on. I wouldn't even know this was Star Wars if Ahsoka's character looked different and they changed some names. This feels nothing like Star Wars and honestly has no connection to the rest of the Clone Wars series we've all grown to love.

Deal No Deal
kaden_lewis4 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
In March of 2021, I decided to watch Star Wars for the first time. I chose to watch it in the timeline order, and watch everything, including the cartoons. I am so happy I did, because with the exception of Star Wars Resistance, they were all amazing. But my favorite is 100% Star Wars: The Clone Wars. It is just amazing. I didn't have my IMDb account at the time, so I couldn't review it. That is why I decided to re watch one of my favorite seasons, season 7, and review it.

Ahsoka ended up staying with the Martez sisters, and joins them on their job. The job requires them to fly to Kessel and pick up spice. Trace, who thinks she is a pilot accidentally pulls into the military lane on Coruscant, where they have to pass by a Republic ship. Anakin happens to be on that ship, and as Trace fly's by, Anakin and Ahsoka could sense each other. I just felt like that was a really cool scene. On their way to Oba Diah to drop off the spice, Rafa and Ahsoka start arguing, and Trace dumps the spice. This would get them in deep trouble with the Pykes, so they need to think of a plan. Ahsoka's plan works, but the Pykes catch on and capture them.

This was a decent episode. Nothing special about it. It was cool to see Kessel's spice mines again, and also see the Pykes, but this episode has zero action. I've said this before. This series of four episodes wasn't the greatest, but they are necessary because it is telling us what Ahsoka has been up to, and it is setting up the finale.

What the hell are they doing?
lukenarnold12 April 2020
I can't understand it. 12 episodes and they blow a third of them on introducing a couple shallow characters with cliché backstories and boring, unrelenting dialogue. Not only are a large portion of the last precious episodes now wasted on these characters and dull story line, but Asoka has apparently forgotten all the life lessons she'd learned as a jedi padawan for the last several years and decided instead to spend her time quibbling with these selfish and annoying criminals for the remainder of these episodes.

Is this what anyone wanted to see following the dramatic scene of Asoka leaving the Jedi temple? This isn't what Asoka, The Clone Wars, or us as fans deserved. It's just careless and sloppy writing.

I really hope there's still time to give this series the sendoff it deserves in the four episodes left in the season. Rip Asoka.

What the heck is this? This isn't star wars. Dialogue is boring and stale and the "jokes" are horrible. Fire the person who's writing this. The first 3 episodes were descent.

Sweet Jesus this was bad.... ....took me three hours to get through, had to keep pausing to shake my head and grimace But there is some good that came out of this, at least for Jar Jar Binks. He now ranks 3rd as most annoying character after the Martez sisters
