Better than expected.

I am on the fence about this series, but am interested enough to continue watching to see how it develops.

Like many other viewers I was skeptical about this episode, and in the early portions thought it was heading down a rather tedious monologue.

The story isn't great, and like a few in this series the stories are a little predictable, and we are still waiting to unravel the characters, and since it is 12 episodes so far we would rather see a bit more of that.

Is it liberal propaganda?... well.. kind-of, it is developed by Dick Wolf after all, so if you don't like the liberal slant, Wolf's work probably isn't for you. But there were a few good moments in this episode, especially at the end with both Bell questioning the motives and Valentine and his family.

I will keep watching.........

Good show - good episode

Warning: Spoilers
I like this series, but it could use some tightening up the dialogue. Why does every tech expert portrayed in this show and all other crime shows, and SciFi, have to explain every detail of how they got the information critical to solving the case? Why does every show of this genre have members of the team wait to be told what to do?

One error on this episode - we are told that the suspects were walking through the city at a rate of 3.6 miles per hour. However, the video that is shown is most likely closer to 2.2 to 2.4 miles per hour.

"Partners in Crime"

Warning: Spoilers
The bank robbery storyline - and especially the bank robbery where there is a police officer or other law enforcement personnel present in the bank - is the bread and butter of police shows and the FBI version is a good, old-fashioned stick-up with a difference.

Maggie and OA work with the NYPD in a tense situation after a cop was killed by the robbery crew who don't talk, instead making their demands by written note. And the leader of the crew's accomplices might not quite be as they seem...

A few good twists in this episode, though there have definitely been better stories on the freshman season of FBI. At least we learnt a little more about Jubal. He is fast becoming my favourite character on the show. Jeremy Sisto plays him very well.

Decent Show

Warning: Spoilers
I like this show so far. The stories as a whole are pretty good and I like the characters, although Agent Bell gets a little annoying at times. I will say that this episode was not as good as some of the earlier ones, but it was decent entertainment. I sometimes wonder if other reviewers watched the same show I did, because some of the comments seem to come out of left field and have nothing to do with what I saw. It was kind of an odd story; two girls being kidnapped for the sole purpose of this guy dragging them along with him to rob banks? Why? Agent Mosier says he wanted "family", but that doesn't really make much sense either. Overall. A decent show.

When you got a citizen shoot and other people in hostage, and don't know how severe the shoot damage is, and the only thing FBI agent considered is the women might be innocent. So the life of other people doesn't matter???What if the man got shoot in stomach and dead when they are waiting for more information?

Convoluted Story and Dysfunctional Characters
Johnny_West13 February 2019
This story begins with a bank shootout that involves the killing of a police officer. Then it turns liberal left into propaganda about the killers being the victims.

The main killer's Dad killed his Mother and two sisters, so the killer is a victim of crime too, and had no chance to grow up normal. The two accomplices have been victims of kidnapping by the main killer, so they are victims too. Everyone is a victim, and the FBI does not want to hurt anyone. The logic of the main FBI characters is flawed and disappointing.

Early on, the FBI have the killers blocked off in an alley, and Missy and Zaiko and 20 other agents cannot manage to shoot the killers, so the killers run into a bar, take seven hostages, and shoot one of them. Really incompetent police work.

Then the FBI agents bring the killer's father out of Prison to visit his son, and talk him into letting go of the hostage who is bleeding out. It is impossible for that prison release and transfer to happen in less than 5-6 hours, so that idea never made any sense.

At one point the NYPD Chief is ordering the two killers to be shot by snipers, and the snipers have a clean shot, but the FBI agents cancel that, because they argue that the killers are victims too.

Perhaps the worst part of this show is that the Muslim identity of Agent Zaiko is constantly an issue. It is always about him being a Muslim, not really about The F.B.I.

Heading Downhill
edpeace5511 March 2019
This series started well but is turning into typical TV cop tripe. Reality takes a back seat to intelligence. As someone else put it "This story begins with a bank shootout that involves the killing of a police officer. Then it turns liberal left into propaganda about the killers being the victims." That's exactly where it goes. I won't do any spoilers but it isn't even good escapism anymore. Pathetic, Hollywood can take any subject and add their political spin to make it unbelievable. The real FBI works in the real world.
