[7.2] The past has already caught...
cjonesas23 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Episode 6: Again, a better episode, all thanks to the very good flashbacks and some good acting (also in the past). It's still ruined though by almost everything that happens in present time.

The past has already caught "Laura" and "Jane".

Can't wait for this to be over

So you just get in the boot of a car when you know those people would happily kill you? Without being seen? They would have heard for a start even though they had their backs turned the cop was facing that way. It's just so dumb. She can't pull this whole thing off as she's 30 not 16 so she doesn't even have an excuse for it. What is she suicidal? This is the same girl from the pilot who froze (rightly so) I'd be the same but I'm supposed to believe she'd do all this? Why does she even care so much? In reality we'd do some digging but a guy tried to kill her once in the motel, attacked twice in one night and she continues pretending to be Nancy Drew? The fbi would have told her once she knew some bits and her mother would've probably told her too. I get she doesn't trust anyone well at least not her mother. She happily trusts and goes with complete strangers. If all these people are dangerous are the Marshall says, she would've been dead in the pilot. The writers are just off the rails, there's like 20 things that don't make sense and the script expands. I honestly don't care what happens to any of the protagonists. I don't really leave reviews that often and I'm not easily annoyed (I'm not that annoyed) just baffled at the script.
