This episode took the show in another weird turn that I don't think was the right move. I hope they can salvage things in the finale but I was hoping for a more supernatural program and it looks like we're just going to get a big government conspiracy.

There is a lot of exposition in this episode.
What better way to give it but by a deaf woman interviewed by Lia.
Deirdre Wells played by Oscar winner Marlee Matlin is the ex partner of Dr Finlayson.
She was not initially part of the half of Limetown that were part of the experiments. She later surreptitiously took part.
What I could not understand was why the FBI were first prepared to help Lia. Then force her to wear a wire when interviewing Deirdre.
Maybe it was a way to hint at some danger and action. Much of the episode was not exactly riveting.
