The episode is a good example of what would happen if we ever developed a sentient artificial intelligence.

The idea and story is interesting, but the implementation is very, very crude. It was look like that they cut off a large book, pressed it and threw on the screen with a squeeze of a dozen minutes. It looks more like a long trailer than an episode of any series.

It's for sure the funniest of the bunch. They don't all have to be serious and deep...
For those who grew up with the cartoon 'pinky and the brain' you'll instantly get a hit of nostalgia from this one.
All hail the yogurt protector.

This episode is about the best outcome for humans if we develop a sentient artificial technology so advanced we can't understand it.
It solves all human problems and go reach for the stars, leaving us behind.
The yogurt is a metaphor for something we don't understand.
Didn't like it

The title makes you think it's gonna be something epic, in the vein of Twilight Zone, Invader Zim or with some rational thought put into it, then when you watch the episode it's about a genetically modified yogurt that talks and is über intelligent, and for some reason the president of the United States caves in to all its demands. Something like that happening is highly unlikely and absurd, why would anyone listen to any inanimate object or food that has become sentient? It needs to have the ability to move, some kind of power, or something to negotiate, instead of only threatening to go with China instead. Soo the yogurt ends up enslaving the human race. Just tell me Why oh why would humans allow any kind of matter that can be easily destroyed to have power over their lives? Makes NO Sense. Also, at the beginning they show the world being an unhappy place because of the yogurt's rule, and then at the end right before the ships take off, we are told about and see happy and fulfilled citizens. Did somebody say "incoherent"? Great as a show for kids, but as an adult I felt like my intelligence was being insulted. Might be a metaphor for artificial intelligence, but that only affects us as long as we keep pouring our lives into the worldwide web. Whatever, it was just lame. Expected better than that

It was just a bit meh innit. Really nothing special at all, just a silly little six minute metaphorical what if except it wasn't really all that funny and probably not very accurate. Sorry if I sound like a complete bore but what can I say this kinda thing just really isn't up my street. Animation was cool though I'll give it that

Cold, calculating dessert.

'When The Yogurt Took Over (2019)' is a short short film. Its narrated story is simple, imbued with a storybook quality and an overtly friendly aesthetic. It isn't all that satisfying from a plot point-of-view; it just recounts the events that lead to its ending in a rather matter-of-fact, if slightly sardonic, style. It's not bad, of course. The animation is pleasing to the eye and the idea of, essentially, A. I. as yogurt is actually quite interesting. Its vision of a cold, calculating being simply being a cold, delicious dessert is humorous in concept. The end-result just isn't all that inspiring, though. It's not hugely entertaining, either. 5/10.

After sexual, violent and tragic stories we have this... Sure N.2 was also funny episode, so why I am criticizing this one? It has no undermeaning or second layer. It just has some absurd humor, which I am fine with, but it looks pale comparing to all prior to this episode. It is just fine.
Nice visual style, works as a part of the series

I love the animation style in this short. It's fresh, cute and very suitable for a humoristic story.
The story itself on the other hand is.... somewhat unfinished. It is challenging to present an idea and manage to complete it within the time limitation of the format, I realize that. But some shorts succeed better than others.
They could have for example elaborate on why exactly is yoghurt the new most intelligent form on the planet. Or what appears to be limited and missing in human thinking. Or draw more detailed satirical picture of the modern human society.
Anyway, the episode works within the frame of the whole series.

This show is just amazing. Ep 4 & 5 seemed a litle cliche but this one is just the "creme de la creme". Great short episode. No need for more. Just 5 min of fun.
Amazing: creativity, really funny, perfect for 5 min.
Good: animation.

I've decided to review each of the short films that make up this series individually.
Scientists accidently create a sentient Yoghurt, which may be able to solve all of humanities problems, but at what cost?!?
Super short, this time. Just six minutes long with a memorable and nostalgic voice over provided by Maurice LaMarche. Animation style was CGI but with more of a Pixar/Dreamworks look, rather than a realistic one. Just one problem with it really, despite the inherent humour of the premise, it wasn't actually funny in execution, so in that regard it was a disappointment.

The day of the dairy

A very short episode, clocking in at just about six minutes. Adaptation of a John Scalzi short story. In which a narrator, who sounds like a certain famous actor, tells the tale of how a dairy product got intelligent and proved to be far smarter than humanity.
This is huge fun! It's pacy. It's got just the right tone to it, to be humorous and satirical at the same time, and it does have some great points to make about human behaviour as well.
The animation is amazing at points, but the fact that all the humans are designed in a certain way does mean they all look a bit too alike. Which is to say the female ones look like men with breasts. Only a minor complaint though, because this is a really good little one otherwise.

Idea: Yoghurt talks. That's all? Yes. Impossible? Sadly, no.
Plot: Yoghurt talks. Then has taken over the world. Then shoots itself into space.
Dialogue: None. A narrator tells us the plot in a few minutes
Animation: of the most basic kind: still images moving across the screen
Emotional effect: none
Action: none
Rating: 1 Any random TV commercial is more interesting than this.
