This is a disappointment of the Star Wars world. Despite the recent havoc online due to the overall poor reception to the overall recent trilogy (7-9), there was still a great wealth in the animated world with both The Clone Wars & Rebels having been taken to heart.
This new series could have built on that, but fails miserably. To the credit to the creators they took a new look and style, and avoided Jedis & Sith, more a ground level look at the Star Wars world in one base. The look is kind of like a Manga-esque style, but despite liking Manga stuff I didn't get into this style.
The big problem though is the storyline. Our lead character is too clumsy to be taken seriously and I just couldn't buy into his character. Kids may like him, but they liked Anakin, Ahsoka, Ezra and Kanan etc and they were more complicated characters which kids actually can handle & enjoy.
The stories are too childish, and that's not a bad thing, but kids are also interested in more serious stuff too. There was little arc & development in this show I thought unlike Clone Wars & Rebels. I missed also the range of characters from those shows, this being more limited in scope.

Time to move onto the next show.
