It Chapter Two (2019)
What happened here?
In a nutshell this film was awful and a total joke. What were they thinking with this one?
The first chapter was good, but here they completely fell off the rails with this.
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974)
A masterpiece - Best horror film ever made
This film is a classic, both meaning with age and date. To anyone who hasn't watched this film, don't even bother peaking at the date, just take 2 hours and watch it, you won't regret it.
This is, in my opinion, the best horror film ever made. It contains no cheese, no unnecessary dialogue, just straight to the point horror with a medium build up on its pace.
Actually this film also has probably the best ending to a horror film I've ever seen. The last 20 minutes of the film are incredible, and it's very rare to see that, especially in horror.
To any new watchers: please pay close attention to the last 20 minutes of the film. It will bring you to the edge of your seat in pure shock and awe.
The best horror film ever made.
The Other Guys (2010)
Most underrated comedy ever!!!
This film. I have a lot to say about this film. Let's start with giving it a chance. You have to watch it more than once. The first viewing, people don't want to listen. Most audiences read between the lines and the dialogue ends up out of context with first time viewers. Please do me a favour and watch it again. But listen carefully. It's pure genius. And with such a poor rating, I feel sorry for Adam McKay, because this is in my opinion his greatest achievement. He is on par with David zuckers older work with naked gun. Pure comedy genius. Will Ferrell gives one of his best performances here. Likewise with mark wahlberg. But please pay attention to the casting. Steve coogan plays such a genius role in a sense that fits his comedy perfectly into this epic film. It's dry, it's hidden message is just pure genius and you just have to pay full attention and that's it. List to the story and stop waiting for the gags and likes which are so commonly expected from comedy films. 10 stars and I could watch this film over and over again.
The Power (2015)
Brilliant and underrated piece of film
I can already tell the film was shot on "film" just by looking at it. And I love it. But with camera specs aside, let's explain why I loved this film.
Well it's original and in its own way has a lot of importance to offer any audience. That subject is satanism. The director must have done his research on this. The script goes deep into what satanism is, how powerful it is and what kind of wingspan it has (probably in real life). But do you take it seriously? I think you should because this information wasn't made up overnight.
Cinematically, the horror scenes have been shot sort of like the 1971 film "the devils" or at least it looks like it in my opinion. Despite its own style, that's as close to a visual similarity I can think of.
I strongly recommend this film to anyone. Even if you are not a fan of horror.
Toy Story 4 (2019)
Awful
There is a "trilogy", but it stops at Toy Story 3. Toy Story 4 is just plain awful. Let's elaborate with the character of "Bo". Seriously? Her whole character is full of arrogance and avoidance vibes. Avoid these types at all costs. Women with a psychopathic empowerment of other Toys in a children's film shouldn't be considered plausible or relevant, especially since the other toy characters have been saints throughout the trilogy. What happened to woody and buzz's motivation? Taking orders from some jumped up, nasty female character who "leads" the others into saving a character, one of which she just rolls her eyes and has no interest in saving? Who wrote in this "Bo" character? This for me, is partially the reason I lost all faith in the film.
Next. Let's speak about woody. What we see here is clearly not the woody we all know. Was the original writer of woody fired? It seems so. Taking orders from that nasty woman I previously mentioned. It's just not the sheriff we all know, a sheriff who can think and act for himself, who has a track record of leading his group of toy friends. With the "Bo" character, it's almost as if she's an open victim of something. That's how she is portrayed. But a victim of what? Being a woman? Woody if the true victim here, since what we saw him go through in the 3rd instalment.
Now to Buzz. He has no character. And once again, he takes orders from the lame tiny female character who is so forgetful we hardly realise that she's there throughout. Not 1 memorable act or like from buzz as a character. Not because it's buzz, but because he's been written that way.
Conclusion. It's a sad time to watch films. Most of modern films are truly ruined by some woke agenda, and it basically achieves nothing. In fact it's so blatant that we are all deep down wanting out money back because we don't want to be bombarded with politics while trying to spend 1 1/12 hours of our free time to push that to one side and escape it. Films are an escape into another realm, not a continuation of the growing political depression of what we have to deal with on everyday life. And why am I complaining? Because it's not a film for adults. It's a children's film. My son also instantly lost any attention he had on the previous 3 films. Huge disappointment. No more. Please.
