The film does a great job building suspense for its first half. The film cuts between the quiet and haunting apartment as our protagonist scenes to the police investigation and the slowly-becoming-involved ex-boyfriend. I won't spoil anything major, but the film follows a predictable-enough arc that it's still a good watch knowing the major plot points. A major strength is the picture's shorter runtime. It makes for a quick-and-easy watch and each scene proves intentional towards moving the plot forward and wrapping up the the ending. Cheesy at times? Definitely, but that's my style for horror/suspense as well.
Personally, I'd recommend it to just about anyone and I think any older-school horror fan would have a great time watching this.
