Robinson learns Nancy has a job offer that will take her away on the eve of the school carnival. Robbie frets he has lost his chance with Nancy while she sells kisses and Mrs. Gurney tells fortunes at the event.
Mr. Peepers is so intent on winning a bean guessing contest at the local eatery that he is unaware a movie crew has taken over his classroom. He exacts a pleasant revenge after being treated rudely by the director.
Robinson Peepers misleads Nancy into thinking he has a date so she goes to the drive-in with Freddie. Robbie decides to go also and parks next to them. An evening of misadventures follows including people repeatedly entering the wrong car.
Robinson is excited that his sister Agnes Peepers is visiting but after introducing her around men are intimated by her superior intellect. Robbie tries to help out Sis but she hits it off with TV repairman Howard by being herself.
It's Nancy's birthday and Robinson has a little surprise party planned than everyone gets snowed in at school. Also Mr. Mumsey can't fix the broken furnace but Robbie perseveres to make Nancy's day special.
Robinson accompanies Harvey while he looks for a new apartment while Mrs. Gurney hosts a wedding shower for Marge. Harvey tries to get Robbie to share his enthusiasm for the possibilities of a rundown place.
Mr. Peepers asks Miss Remington to the school dance but the constant presence of Harvey Weskitt complicates things. And there is the matter of the broken punch dispenser.
The teaching staff pitches in on various custodial jobs when the janitor needs to be absent. Mr. Peepers is assigned to to run the striping machine which goes amok, leaving white stripes everywhere.
Mr. Peepers agrees to give a speech on wildflowers for Mrs. Gurney at the same time Mr. Gurney needs him to play for a chess championship. Gym teacher Charlie develops a workout routine for Mr. Peepers but he gets stuck in a basketball hoop.
