A poetic title. A good cast. A village in Dobrogea county. And characters reduced to status of simplistic sketches. Not just surprising if you do not ignore the period. Because it reflects realities and dialogues and relations and manner to see love stories of the middle of last decade of Ceausescu regime. And, today, the nostalgia of a not real young public is the precious part . A geolog, a project, youth events in flash backs, beautiful music of Horia Moculescu and the state of return to past for Romanian viewer. It is easy to define it ordinary or beautiful film of Epoca de Aur but this definition sounds very subjective. Sad fact , Mireasma ploilor tarzii has a real good potential of story and actors deserving be better used. A choice, a past love, a professor front to opportunity to repair old mistakes , admirable job of Colea Rautu and Maria Ploae in her gentle way to build her character, a difficult option between love and career. And good intentioned director. Short, a try . Interesting in intention.
