As an independent film, the Sector is pretty effective. It's a worthwhile way to spend a couple of hours, as long as your expectations are set appropriately.
I'm not expecting great direction or editing, which means the story line might be confusing, or the ending might kinda drag out. This movie is no exception.
But it's the earnestness of the whole thing that makes it worthwhile. The story works, and any veteran of Sci Fi willing to add their own experience to the story can fill the gaps in believability.
And given how many good actors fall out of favor and kinda slide into obscurity, I gotta hand it to Lance Henriksen for keeping busy and being the big fish in a small pond.
