While there's some decent CGI in this film, overall it's a disappointing title. The story line is basically IT (even down to the clowns) except the actors are slightly older and a lot worse. It's difficult to pin it down to the writing or the delivery, but bad examples of both are apparent throughout.
All in all, Bedeviled shining example of what 'horror' has become; all jump scares and no terror. The first scene sums this up where an obvious and non-threatening silhouette walks across the room (so close to the camera that the screen goes completely dark) and is accompanied by a delayed and OVERLY LOUD jarring noise. That one scene will give you an immediate feel for what the rest of the film is like.
Yet another film that will fall into the chasm between watchable and "so bad, it's good".
