I've tried to watch some films, that I forwarded through, this wasn't one of them. One might have to be from the 80's, to fully appreciate the nuances of the times. The nudity, was not needed, especially supposedly depicting teens, aka underage girls. The coach, was terrible, to pressure a kid so. These days, boys ARE allowed on cheer teams. Anyway, it's just a silly story for entertainment, that actually isn't riddled with profanities like most of movies made today are. To whomever complains about Cory's acting, it's a wonder he could act at all, after being the victim of a child predator. That trauma caught up with him later, & he took his own life, which further traumatized his "brother" Cory Feldman, who was also victimized. A far as Alanis goes, I thought she was lip synching. The ending was quite abrupt. Did he win a music scholarship or not?
