Did you know...

...that this series is basically the brainchild of the Canadian comedy group The Vestibules (formerly known as Radio Free Vestibule)? For that reason alone, it's worth checking out, as they did much of the writing on this series and fans of the group will get the many sly references to their skits included in the show. It's a very fun show chronicling the adventures at Radio Active, a radio station run by a crazy cast of characters. Not a great show by any stretch of the imagination, but just good, clean fun that people of all ages can appreciate.

Can Words Describe it? Yes They Can: AWESOME SHOW!!!
The-Flaming-Pig12 August 2002
Radio Active is a VERY, Very Good Show. It is creative, funny and just plain goofy fun. It is well composed and just fits in together. Too bad they got rid of Kevin & Ethan. Their Roles were some of the funniest performances ever seen. Blair and Roger are good, but not as good as Kevin and Ethan. My Favourite is George. He is just SO funny. He doesn't make much sense, But always brings a smile to your face. I thought this was a stupid Teen drama show (I Hate those) before, But there was nothing on TV, so I put it on YTV and watched one episode expecting it to Suck. I WAS SOOOO WRONG. Watch it. If you think it's a dumb Teen Drama, Your Wrong. WATCH IT NOW!!! NOW!!!!! NOW!!!!!

NOSTALGIA!!!!!!!!
genin-1266824 October 2020
Just pure nostalgia! I remember seeing this show during my time in Qatar 2012 to 2014 on a Kuwait based english family channel called KTV2. This show was just randomly broadcast one day outta nowhere and me and my mother enjoyed it every bit! I'm a bit late with this really old 1998-2000 show. It's very wholesome and funny and silly. Love love love love love MORGAN!!!!!!!!! HUUUUUGEST CRUSH!!!! I JUST LOVE HER SO MUCH!!!!! LIBRA GIRL!!!!! SO SASSY AND BEAUTIFUL!!!! Giancarlo Caltabiano as Spiky George was just absolutely hilarious!!!! Vikram Sahay as Kevin was the cool swagger!!! Ryan Wilner as Roger is just charming and very intelligent and funny at the same time!!! Vanessa Lengies is just the CUTEST of all!!!!

One of the finest Canadian comedies to be aired in a long time.
krypto_cj16 January 2006
Starting in 1998 with the first season of Radio Active we are introduced to a bunch of wacky students in their early teens, and they are assigned the duty of hosting various radio shows in between classes. Sure, it sounds kind of tacky, but with the cast chosen here, it sure does work out and in a way that is very entertaining. Its because that the students are so different and the way their personality often clashes, that makes it so interesting to watch. Some of the students are bound to straighten things up, while others are are bound to spoil (almost) everything for the others. Sure, at times the show might seem childish, but its all in good fun. Also, the second and third season might not live up to the greatness that the first season was, but it sure is a worthwhile watch if you are a fan of Radio Active or if you simply just want to laugh.

fair first season
SnoopyStyle18 June 2017
A group of students at Upper Redwood High runs Radio Active, the school radio station. The group includes the wacky George Goodwin, the responsible Tanya Panda, the know-it-all Morgan Leigh, the money-grubbing Ethan St John, and the scholastically-challenged Kevin Calvin (Vik Sahay). Morgan's little sister Sarah Leigh (Vanessa Lengies) is always hanging around delivering the mail. Miss Noelle Atoll is the English teacher and Mr. Angus Noseworthy is the VP. The second season has the arrogant jock Blaire Resnickie and radio nerd Roger Richards join the group.

The first season is functional although there is no romantic chemistry between anybody. The overall group chemistry is good which allows the show to work. The first season is a solid six. This is a teen show that skews more towards the kiddie side. Vik Sahay probably had better things to do and left the show. The two new characters start as off-putting and annoying. Romantic chemistry is barely improved but the group chemistry suffers. Caltabiano and Galianos are functional at their roles. Lengies is the only one who makes a name in her future career. It's a silly kids show. The first season is OK but the rest is not good. The second and third seasons are bland with anger starting from Blaire seeping into the group dynamics. The fun struggles to get out from under the general bitterness.

maybe I was a little too harsh

In my second review I said This Show Sucks. I shoudnt have said that. Now that I have watched the show a bit more I have found that these two actors are okay but nothing compared to the original characters. If anyone knows any new roles Micheal Yarmush is in email me. Try and see Ratz it has Morgans sister in a major role.

Yet another Radio active fan!!
Marisa-28 January 2002
I really like this show. George is sooo soooo funny. Tanya was pretty funny as well. Morgan was a bit over-the-top sarcastic sometimes but mainly pretty good. Sarah was annoying but I liked her Boogie Boogie Boogie phase. I wish Kevin & Ethan would come back because they were the best characters (next to George). I don't like Roger-he is just annoying. Blaire was such an egoholic which made him funny although when he first joined the show I didn't think he would have any potential. My favourite episode was when Tanya had to fill in for Ms. Attoll & Ethan was sucking up to her by giving her apples, apple pie, apple juice, apple strudel and (because he couldn't think of anything else) pineapple and George was going to sleep on his maths book so the information would "seep" into his brain..."SEEEEEP!!" I also liked the We hate Kenny G episode & the boxing episode. The only downside to this show was the lack of extras in the background and minimal use of backdrops. Other than that, I love this show!! 9/10 (If Ethan & Kevin came back I would give this an 11/10).

Oh well

I agree on what rodcorvo said, but I know why the two characters, Kevin and Ethan, suddenly disappeared. Its because they want to further their acting career. They might go on to be big stars, but taking things a step at a time. So they had to find replacements for them so they got Blair and Roger. But I think we should give Andrew Walker and Ryan Wilner who plays Blair and Roger a chance because they might improve over time. I still like radioactive, though, no matter what they change

Good Canadian Show

Lets Face it, Canada isn't exactly known for its success in the entertainment business but I have to admit I really like Radio Active. It's funny and interesting and some what cheesy but overall a pretty good show. I really hope Blair and Morgan get together before the end of the show! lol I also like Student Bodies and Breaker High. Two other good Canadian shows.

The Funniest Show on Earth!!!
CrAzY_Cha19 January 2000
I think Radioactive's a great show, and highly underrated, like a previous fan have said. My fave episode is the one where the Radioactive group suspects a spy in their midst. It was the funniest one ever! My second favourite is the one where Kevin gets all the credit for George's poems. As long as they keep on making new episodes, I'll keep watching!

RadioActive is the funniest show in the history of mankind. If you dont believe me, WATCH IT. Its low-budget---made in Montreal, Quebec---the actors and actresses are SOOOO kind! The best thing about actors like these compared to actor like Chris Rock or Mike Myers or somebody, is the fact that THESE actors still care for their fans and take the time to PERSONALLY REPLY to letters and stuff!! ^_^ And believe you me, one of the greatest things in the world is having one of your favorite actors personally email you and tell you how great stuff you wrote or drew or any little fanstuff like that is. They appreciate it all... Its great. ^_^

A pretty good show
jacquilinepotter31 December 2004
Alrighty. This was one of the better Canadian children's television shows that was made. I think that this show was worth keeping on the air. It was funny, dumb a lot of the time, but funny, because of the acting involved. Comparing "Fries With That" to "Radio Active" I have to say that Radio Active was a lot better than Fries. The actors chosen were a lot better, the delivery was great, and the writing was perfect for the type of show it was. A comedy directed toward high schoolers, this gave a great laugh to all those in high school at the time it was running, and a jaw dropping look at the lengths a rotten teacher would go to to stop some fun. This show wasn't exactly the most dead on when representing high school life, but then again, what fun would that be? "Degrassi: Junior High" is a show that you can compare "Radio Active" with, but is more drama than comedy. Radio Active all in all, had good acting, writing and directing and shouldn't have been taken off the air. It could have been the actors and not the broadcasting company who chose to can it but what a shame. It's good that "George" is now on Fries with that, and is one of the reasons that I along with others watch that as well.

I like this show, because of kevin and georges humour. however one thing in this show makes me watch almost every episode despite its awkward time slot. and that one thing my friends, is morgan. Redheads rock and shes the best one ive seen yet.... besides nicole kidman. the second she decides to leave the show, i'll stop watching, but as long as shes on it i'll be a big fan.

And by the way, the 2 new guys reeeeaaaally suck.

Season 1 was the best!
brownshuga3752 August 2005
I loved this show when it first came on YTV. The characters were so funny especially Kevin Calvin and Ethan St. John. When Kevin and Ethan left, and they brought those two new guys Roger Richards and Blair Resnickie, the show completely went downhill for me. I was no longer interested in watching Radio Active anymore. The comedy in the show started to get really bland. I know that Vik Sahay and Michael Yarmush had to leave because they wanted to go further into their career and that is a good thing. But unfortunately the other guys couldn't fill their shoes. Not to say that I think their TERRIBLE actors, it takes time to get really good. But they just weren't funny enough.I don't have a favourite episode in this season, because to me they were all great. They should put this show on DVD. If they did I would definitely buy season 1, only because it's the only season that I thought was, by far, the most superb.

Radio Active is still wicked good even though you guys are right blaire and roger are pretty stupid. But i think George is still funny, he will always be funny. ANd i'm glad they got rid of ethan. I think with a little time the new two will get better (hopefully). Radio active fans e-mail me, and i'll send you my Radio ACtive site.

This show sucks
rodcorvo23 February 2000
Radio active was once my favourite show. I was the first person to comment on it. Now they have taken off two characters without explanation and added two dorks who cant act. Suddenly George isnt very funny and the jokes are childish and unfunny. I hope that bring back Micheal Yarmush cause if they dont Radio Active will die off quicker than it should.
