Three Little Maids From School
boblipton17 May 2024
John Bunny advises physician Charles Eldridge that if he wants to build up his practice, he'd best hire a young, handsome doctor. Eldridge follows his advice, and soon Earle Williams has all the young girls sighing over him and coming down with complaints that only he can attend to. But they're in for a surprise.

Other film companies had pretty young women under contract, but few showed them off to better advantage than Vitagraph. Here we get to see Norma Talmadge at the start of her career, but also Lillian Walker and Dorothy Kelly.

Earle Williams often played the handsome younger man in Vitagraph productions, and his star continued to ascend throughout the 1910s. By the time the twenties came along he was comfortably playing mature leading men. However, he died of pneumonia in 1927 at the age of 47.
