Disney princess's are finally challenged. A tongue in cheek look at the seedy side of trying to find your true female identity amongst all the crap we get force fed.

Slipper is a departure in subject matter for Director Glenn Fraser, however like his acclaimed short film Boy, it isn't long before the fairytale story is flipped on it's head and we find ourselves on a journey of female exploration. A woman finding her true identity including her sexual voice is revealed.

I loved the Disney style look of the film it adds to the fairytale marketing that society swallows about women. As a punter I wanted to see more of the lead character's self-analysis and growth. Hard subject to tackle without being pithy, interesting role for Ineke Rapp to portray, she was memorable and comical 'dolled -up'.

A lot of time and effort was dedicated to the production, and it looks great.

This short is a brilliant example of the medium. Short, sweet, and very funny. The lead performance is amazing, this girl has comic timing down to an art, and her screen presence is dynamite! The script is materfully written. Exposing an insight to a world that I haven't seen before. The style of the film blends right into the world created, and shows the director knows more than a thing or two about telling a story. If you get a chance to see this film, drop everything and watch it. You will be doing yourself a favor.
