Hands down one of the best Netflix has to offer. Even though the plot can be described simply in three words; "Time Travel Paradox", this show just gives new meaning to the plot so many have tried but failed to give it such meaning and thought. The best part of the show is when you try to wrap your head around all thats happening, trying to figure out where it all started, where or when is the beginning!
Truly one of the best episode this epic original show has to offer. Can't wait to watch the next one.

Watching 2nd time around - Just, incredible...

Have just finished episode 4 in season 2 and I was, it was, like wtf...information wise, plot wise, story wise. It just spiralled from all angles, in the varying timelines. So much revealed. I absolutely love this show and I enjoy good telly, but this HAS TO BE close to near the best that's been achieved in television, within its nature of drama, genre. It is just bewilderingly brilliant. In no over estimation.
Honestly terrific

Really, a point that German Television has probably never reached. It's intricately designed, structured & narrated.
Dark is so engaging because it's packed with themes and still manages to be a compelling mindfck story filled with sharp characterizations and details.
Control dominates over choice. In every single aspect. No one can do anything as everything is predetermined.
Terrific television and that ending may be the best thing Dark has done yet.

Dark's finest storytelling yet.

Behold, Dark's new masterclass. The Travelers is one of the most shocking episodes I've seen to date. I was complaining in the past episode that Dark up to that point had never made me laugh or had humor, and this episode changed it when Mikkel's mother tells Hannah to shut up because she kind of hates her. It's these moments of levity that makes us relate to the characters, and this is the first episode of Dark to do that. Truths have been told in this episode, and the stakes are higher than ever. Can't wait to watch the rest of this show. I give this episode a 9.6/10.

The way female characters are written in this show is absolutely amazing

Warning: Spoilers
Even the unlikable characters are still written as humans. Hannah is manipulative and possessive, but she also loves her son and clearly fell into a deep depression when Jonas disappeared, and her reaction to seeing older Jonas' scars was one of a mother realizing she wasn't able to protect her child. She insisted that Katharina should know the truth about her husband and son--even seeming appalled that no one had informed her yet--even though she clearly does not like her. Many people despise Hanna because she's not the most mental stable person, but she's very intelligent and resilient, she knows when to wait and when to act(unlike Ulrich who didn't hesitate to murder Helge) and in this chapter she ask Charlotte for help and then wants to tell Katarina the truth about her husband and son (even though she won nothing doing so). So she's one of my favorite characters
, yet 3 dimensional character. In Dark every character is either related or Jonas. Just FYI, yes, one-eyed people can drive. No different tests are needed because there's actually no difference to the short and long range fields of vision. There's a slight difference to mid-range (e.g. Handshake distance), but over time we learn to compensate for that. Jonas is literally playing 5D chess with time travel against himself. There are just like 3 other players also playing 5D chess against one another. That single tear that ran down Jonas face after the reveal was perfection brilliant acting. Cannot believe what a head screw this episode was!!! That Adam is Jonas reveal was amazing. That Adam is Jonas reveal was amazing.
Jaw dropping episode!!!

What a tremendous ending to this episode. All of the storylines are moving along interesting and unexpected ways. Only downsides to this episodes were the 1986 Claudia storyline and the group of kids storyline. Only thing missing was an explanation for what happened to the police officers eye. Awesome episode! Half of the episode I spent having questions about where characters were and the show immediately answered them during the episode. Some questions included what has Katarina been up to, where is Bartosz, what happened to the police officer who only has one eye. Looking forward to much more.
Nothing happen in this episode

This show rated 8.8/10 is of course overrated but ok why not. But to give this épisode a 9.5/10 when nearly nothing happen, no Logic and the show seems to go nowhere After 14 épisode there is still no plot or goal. Informations are just reveal and more mystery are add just for the fun of it.
There have been some other shows in history that doesnt made a lot of sence, like Twin Peaks, but still more than dark. I Come from the future so i know that in the next épisode we will finally got a plot / a Goal with young Jonas coming back in 2019 before his dad die. But to wait 15 épisode to have a real plot is quite long. 7/10 no more. Cant compare this show to Epic shows like Lost or Breaking Bad.

Just... Wow. I haven't been so gob-smacked by a twist in a long, long time. It genuinely made my jaw drop for half a minute. Absolutely shocking, and it changes everything. The way it's revealed, with Adam showing his neck, shows Dark knows how to handle these moment with gravitas.
Apart from THAT ending, there's plenty of other excellent plot development. I love the scene in which Jonas arrives in 1921: the way it's shot and the creepy soundtrack.
It seems like all the characters are moving towards big moments now. More and more people are finding out about the things that are going on in Winden. Claudia finding out about her past the way she does and I loved the way she taps the touch screen really hard because that's totally how my mum tries to operate them!
Another highlight is Katerina's reaction to being told that time travel is responsible for what's been going on. She just laughs, doesn't believe it. It's a totally natural reaction that reminds you just how crazy Dark's story is. Dark takes its plot very seriously, intricately weaving all the connections, but a moment like this is a hilarious moment of self-awareness at just how brilliantly barmy the plot actually is. I also found it really emotional when Katerina goes to her school, finds Mikkel in the records, and tears up looking at his photo. It's a beautiful, human scene.
Overall, an amazing masterwork. Beautiful cinematography and an amazing, atmospheric final scene that I didn't see coming.

A great episode again. Seeing established characters getting to grips with a new situation makes for a really exciting and dramatic time. The climactic twist reminded me favourably of the excellent little Spanish film TIMECRIMES.
Mind blowing reveals!

This episode gave me chills! From the moment the episode begins you just know this episode has no intentions of slowing down!
This was incredible storrytelling and I sm still trying to piece together some of the things! I guess i feel like the characters getting emotional cause they cant deny the facts, but still cant believe what they are witnessing!
The consistency of this show is crazy! It all feels believable even if you cant understand it! Its like if the writters travelled to the future, saw this show, then travveled back to the past to write and create it!
The last scene had my jaw on the floor! Just... wow!

Events of episode:

The Worm Ouroboros!
Hitchcoc1 December 2023
This is about circles; things coming back around, time that can't change. Much of the focus here is on Jonas who wears the marks of being hanged and gaining a last minute reprieve. He tries to find his way but is blocked by a wall. He is redirected, but he is doomed to have no direction. This episode begins to show the revealing of this convoluted world to characters who are only confused. Once again the brothers are brought up and it is announced that they still live. The thing is that a sensible person wouldn't accept the idea of separate time dimensions. At the end, we have a promise that things will be revealed. Another stellar piece.
First bit of humour in Dark

Discoveries are made in two time periods.
This is another impressive episode of complex storytelling and effective visuals.
As Dark progresses the plot gets increasingly complex, with various connections between characters and events. This leads to impactful moments of information reveals to individuals and this episode has its share. For me the most powerful moment involves Katarina in the school office as it combines great emotion with visual storytelling. There is a big reveal to the audience near the end, but as it is on the basis of a character's hearsay I'm not ruling out it might be a red herring.
All the characters are used well by the filmmakers, particularly the adults shown in 2020 as they piece certain details together. I also like the scene with Claudia at the library as for a few seconds some light humour actually emerges from the usual bleakness.
Visually it's fantastic like previous episodes. The cinematography, period detail, art design and editing is superb.
