Really enjoy watching the show so far, but the 45-second Toyota Tundra commercial in the beginning of this episode was painful to watch. Hope the show isn't struggling financially...

Ellroy Has my Whole Heart
SourCandyOrNoCandy31 March 2022
I'm not sure why, but I was suspicious of Ellroy when he first showed up at the crime scene, but he quickly stole the show. He's so charming in his own little way. Hopefully he becomes a recurring character.
"I'm high. On drugs. I did drugs." "Maybe I am high, but these are still solid ideas." I loveddd the idea of Jackson and Lopez's storyline, but I felt like it could've been written a little more realistically. I've never done drugs so maybe it was realistic and I just don't know lol, but the execution of it felt a little too out-there. It was still fun, though.
Now that Jessica and Nolan aren't together, I'm really liking this Nolan-Grace thing that's going on.
Best part of the episode? Ellroy. He's the best. I also liked the Grey-Harper dynamic. Seeing her paired up with different characters has been really interesting. OH! And of course, Chen and Bradford always.
Worst part of the episode? Nothing. I can't think of the reason why I didn't give this episode a 10, but something that I can't figure out is stopping me from doing it even though this was a greattt episode.

Alan and Nathan together again!

Warning: Spoilers
I really enjoyed seeing Mal and Wash together again. Nathan and Alan have such great chemistry! The way the story progressed we just might see Ellroy back in other episodes! I hope so. I loved Chen fighting for Bradford and the comedy of West being high! Hilarious. Some people have complained about the opening scene with the truck but I thought it was smart! Why not include it in the narrative? Nolan is fixing up his house and needs a truck. Heck, it saved a couple minutes of advertising time for the show. Makes perfect sense!
Alan and Sue added you the show

Adding Alan and Sue to The Rookie is exactly what the show needs. I hope this wasn't just a one episode event cause what these two characters/actors bring to the table Is great for the show. I look forward to next week episode like I always do!

Nolan's Birthday
claudio_carvalho21 October 2021
On Nolan's birthday, he is assigned to preserve a crime scene in a law firm until the place be released by the Homicide detectives. While waiting for them, the person responsible for cleaning the area called Ellroy Basso arrives and soon they befriend each other. Nyla Harper requests her evaluation to Sgt. Grey to present to the judge and he agrees, but she need to go to the field with him. Tim and West are anxious since they will receive a commendation. When Tim is driving with Chen, he hits the car rear of Sarah Murphy, and the woman goes to the ER for evaluation. Lopez and West arrest a driver for using cellphone while driving and West finds a bag of drug hidden behind the panel, that blows up. West breathes the powder and begins to act strange.
"Clean Cut" is a funny and full of action episode of "The Rookie", composed of great storylines. All the segments are entertaining and is nice to see the witty Chen and Angela protecting their TO and rookie respectively. Nolan and Ellroy make the day in the end. My vote is nine.

Warning: Spoilers
Alan Tyduk and Nathan Villiin are the best of friends. Great energy together as the humor bounces off and throgh them. The cleaning guy great character for Alan, Nathan keeps his character Nolan despite we expect them to fall into Firefly character, lol.
Lots of accidents in this episode, Harper starts to melt a little and show her humanity. Not just a hars edge cop she reveals a bit more now that she needs the job. Still she feels like a narcissist. West and Lopez work best together with each episode now season 3 the boot grows and the traing officer lower there boundaries trust is developed. This show although at times a bit idealistic still it grows on you. Cheers!
