Geel vs Gws, at GMHBA Stadium.

Warning: Spoilers
The Giants without so many players, the Cats with a goal in the first 30 seconds. With much field position, the Cats miss many gettable ones and the Giants go on to kick the next 4. They could of had another if Toby didn't get an unfortunate bounce in the goal square as well, Giants up 18 at quarter-time. Dangerfield subbed off and the Giants get another in a minute. The Giants with breaking speed the Cats can't contain, the Cats inaccurate and down 19 at the half. Neither team marking the ball in range, Toby though slotting his 4th taking the Giants out to a substantial lead. The Cats dominating the clearances in the last term, but missing so many opportunities. The mids turning it over and Higgins not using the space he had and making it the next guys problem. Clark missing everything from right in front very costly late and Taylor superb on Hawkins. Giants win in a massive upset, by 19 points. I call Toby the terminator, but Taylor actually had the red eye terminator look going after the game heh and fitting of the performance. Geelong handily won the hit-outs, were +7 in clearances, +21 in inside 50's, but for the same amount of scoring shots and the Giants unlike the Cats kicked accurately. Taylor best afield, with 21 disposals, 2 contested marks and a massive 17 intercepts. Cumming 34 disposals, 2 contested marks, 8 intercepts and 984 metres gained. Taranto 34 disposals, 6 clearances, 9 tackles and 2 goals. Stewart and Greene also among the best for either side.

3. (Gws) S. Taylor, 2. (Gws) I. Cumming, 1. (Gws) T. Taranto.
