A good episodes but tell me something...
divyeshlakhotia10 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Okay so tell me something.... Why is the mother of the King relying on old man and help from other villages? I understand that you may not have time to get help during the first attack. But after losing the son of a king, even then Lagertha decides to get help from nearby villages instead. Like bruh! Go and ask for help from Ubbe! Tell him to send his soldiers! You just got his son killed. At least get some sense now... But no you still have to keep asking for old woman to help you....where's the logic?

And why are the sons of Bjorn with Lagertha anyway when Ubbe has delayed his journey?

Dramatic, Intriguing and Full of Action
claudio_carvalho2 January 2020
Lagherta organizes the residents of her village to defend against the outlaws. They defeat the bandits led by White Hair but the price is high and tragic. Olaf summons Bjorn to a meeting with him and Harald and he accepts. In the meeting, Olaf proposes a surprising destiny to Norway. In Kattegat, Ubbe is discouraged to give a chance to the alcoholic Hvitserk in the trade mission. Ivar encounters Dir, who is a prisoner of his brother Oleg, and he offers whatever Ivar wants to let him free and Ivar tells that he wants to overthrow Oleg.

"All the Prisoners" is a dramatic, intriguing and full of action episode of "Vikings". Lagherta's segment is responsible for the action and drama of the show. Hvitserk's life is also dramatic. But Gunnhild's dream, Olaf's proposal and Ivar's new betrayal are intriguing and promising of great sequences. My vote is eight.

Stop letting us rate before the episode airs.
aminrahman-3325818 December 2019
I'm going to change my score after the episode airs and give it what I think but it's stupid that we're allowed to score now. It ruins the whole idea of the ratings because there's people rating it even before the episode is out. Same thing happened with last episode too.

Again, I'll change my score or perphaps keep it the same if I love the episode that much but I'm hoping this gets fixed.

Intense and unpredictable

Warning: Spoilers
The struggle is real. Bjorn isn't fit to rule as king and the mistakes are gathering in events that are happening. Surprised to see Ubbe being a good ruler reminds me of Ragnar a bit. To me this episode was amazing and food for thought. None of the sons of Ragnar can rule alone. This is the proof for that.

The plot was great

Warning: Spoilers
There are a lot of people saying Lagertha should have sent someone to kattegat to ask for help. Well they don't have any boats to go there. What do you expect them to do? To go swimming there? And building a boat just to sail to kattegat takes time and the bandits are attacking in the same day so if they built a boat without defenses makes them naked on weapons hence they will all die. Lagertha didn't sacrifice these kids, but they were stupid I mean a kid on top of a tree started panicking and breathing heavily obviously will make him killed and the girl that was running back to the camp. What do you expect of a young girl running on her feet and there is an army of men on fast horses? Remember ubbe and bjorn took all the boats back so that is why they have no boats left in the camp.

Finally an episode of vikings since season 4 that's actually good. Hopefully the show keeps up like this and ends the series on a high note. Surprisingly I can actually stand ivar this season and the Russia storyline is really entertaining.

THIS is Vikings
ecatalan982 January 2020
Warning: Spoilers
After a decidedly slow start, episode 4 not only picks the pace up considerably but also hints at the possible roads the story may take in further episodes. Bjorn and Harald seem to team up once more and Lagertha's village is savagely attacked by a gang of Vikings lead by a previously vansished leader. The attack on the village's children is particularly disturbing as most movies and series te tend to shy away from killing kids on film. Not Vikings! Ivar appears that will be teaming up with a former foe. Overall, a very fast paced episode. My only complain is the character of Hvitserk and how he is now portrayed as a hopeless drunk. His sinking into depression seems to have come out of nowhere as it was never foreshadowed in previous seasons (all of Ragnar's kids like to drink, and this is the 1st time a serious case of alcoholism is portrayed in the show). Still, Vikings is set to become more interesting from this moment on!

As of this Fourth episode of the very long awaited season 6, I'm quite disappointed...
nealvan55714 January 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Binge watched the entirety of all episodes of every season. For some ridiculous reason Michael Hirst chose upon reaching season 4 to split the seasons into 10 episode halves instead of simply having each 10 episodes one numbered season. Which would this season now season 8. This has bugged me since it was rumored the show was going to be canceled during season 4.

But that aside, I've been extremely disappointed with which characters have been kept. Those kept are unlike who they always were and all this change in just six months? Adding insult to injury as the old saying goes....Ivar somehow inexplicably makes it to what became Russia within six months. How do I know it took six months? The opening of episode 1 info says so. Considering Ivar is a 'wanted' man who cannot walk or easily stand. You might think his travels would have been noticed before making it through Europe. Horribly, Bjorn who has always been decisive but overthinks most of the time, right or wrong until now. Now He's acting like a clueless fool who gives honor to a traitor and doesn't seem to have 'kept' his adulthood and life experiences he had for at least a decade in Viking time. Think how much experience he gained from his father Ragnar and father (?) Rollo. Huh? But that was a tossed in, and apparently pointless plot bit thrown in.

Having Flatnose (Adam Copeland) shows up by himself to Kattegat in a small boat seems extremely unlikely since only Floki knew the heading to and from Iceland which was mentioned at the end of season 5 pt. 2. You saw Floki with the Sun Stone and Sun Disc that was given to him before he left to 'wander the sea and let the Gods do what they will'. So many things, situations, and fully formed characters, have nearly all been ignored and are now acting how Hirst decided to make these changes. I think only King Harald is the only established character acting the same as he was where the show left off. And my I ask...when the hell did Swedish Vikings turn into Arabs? One of the most irritating and annoying part of season 6 so far. I can only hope it will get better in a hurry since I'm close to half way through the season.

I bored from Ivar's storyline like you. But what happened in Lagretha's village was so dramatic and I enjoy that, speccialy the death of Halli. I cried for his conversation with Lagretha😭

My rate is 8 but I want to increase that.

The episodes continue to be borderline ridiculous
Jhonnydoe1234 January 2020
Warning: Spoilers
If you want to see the main outlines of where this season suffers please refer to my review of the previous episode on IMDB.

This episode is even more anti-climatic and unrealistic than the last . Starting with Gunnhild arriving with *only* female warriors to help Lagertha based on her dream of an attack on the village (how convenient)

Hvitserk spends the entire season as a junkie with absolutely no character development, so what do we see here in this episode? Him living that junkie life, eating shrooms and drinking.

Kievan Rus in the background shows middle-eastern looking russians strolling about as well as black slave-traders bringing lines of black slaves into the city. We are supposed to believe this was common logistically and historically? The whole region with centers like Kiev and Crimea, throughout history mostly traded in primarily Eastern Europeans.

Now switching to the King's election. background character shows females drinking and having a drunk fight, clearly trying to break stereotypes right? *rolls eyes*

The final premise is that of the election, suddenly Vikings have a revelation of democracy and civility deciding to *vote* in a King of Kings.

If there's a TL:DR and the last episode was We wuz Byzantines n shieet due to Olaf using Greek fire. Then this episode is We wuz Greeks n shiet since Vikings are now a democratic folk.
