This 4th season is brilliant, dramatic, and explosive. The political drama is a annoying and could be reduced. The crime adventure is an interesting side story. The main story of Rocinante's crew is the best. This out The Expanse 4th season at par with Star Trek Discovery 2nd season in my book. Amazon Prime was wise to take in The Expanse, this would be the classic space scifi drama in the making.

David Straithairn's Klaes Ashford stole the show this season, and the 3rd season as well. He will be sorely missed.

Can't wait for the 5th and final season of The Expanse

A really well done episode, especially the ending. I have read all of the books and felt as though this season really did the book justice-unlike season 3. The ending of this episode made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. This was the calm before the storm. Now the real war begins.

Overall a very good season. A lot of things were set up for the next season. I like that the side stories were connected to this setup. So when season 5 airs, season 4 will be even better. For the side story arcs I will give a 10/10. That was fantastic.

The main story arc (illus) was a bit over the top. I mean you are stuck in an alien building, over you is the ocean, you have only drinkable water for the next few days, you just learned that bacteria will eat your eyes. Snakes with nerve poison everywhere. What will come in your mind, if you will be at such circumstances? Would you think about a plan to kill your only hope "James Holden" just for money? Defenately not. 7/10 for the main plot.

Caged in this episode is a very real danger to humanity when it comes to future space travel and asteroid mining. As of now, there are no laws in place regarding asteroid mining and/or redirecting an astroid to hit earth. This will be a very important issue that needs to be addressed before commercial mining takes place. And there are already commercial companies that are working on asteroid retrivals ......

Wasn't a fan of the shoe-horn excuses to get the audience sympathetic with the terrorist who aided in planting that bomb. Letting her go just like that felt cheap and daft after what she did, with good intentions or not.

Other than that, looking forward to season 5!

This whole enemies that unite against a common cause plot is nothing new to the series. This season introduces too many uninteresting characters and boring sub plots. This is the opposite of what made the first 2 seasons strong. New two dimensional characters and drama take away screen time and the focus from the main cast that we are rooting for 4 seasons now. Alex is just there and Amos is becoming a caricature. The politics and the Mars plots are meh. Avasarala for president is pure soap opera. However Draper got some development and is a character that continues to intrigue me. After she went to Earth she steadily became my favorite.

Visually the alien constructions and their huge scale looks very cool. On the other hand the new planet looks too much like Earth and having more moons is not enough to sell it. Some difference in the sky colors or atmosphere would help.

The wider screen ratio doesn't work and feels like an unnecessary crop. Especially since not all the scenes use it.

Also some studio scenes feels cheaper although overall the CG scenes looks better.

The spaceships continue to be some of the most hideous in any space opera but at least the space battles and generally space visuals, since the last season, continue to improve.

I will see the next season but the excitement has already gone since season 2.

The basic concept of the alien form and who created it is still my only drive. The main cast is on autopilot and the potitics continue to take too much time and unfortunately without the intrigue of the first seasons.

THE EXPANSE: SEASON 4. EP 10: THIS WAS A VERY POWERFULLY SCRIPTED FINALE THAT LITERALLY MADE MY EYES BURN, FILLED WITH MOURNING AND A SENSE OF STRENGTH AND COURAGE YEARNED FOR! SUCH ACKNOWLEDGEMENT CAME TOO LATE FOR THE LIKABLE.

SAVING THE GALAXY EVERY SEASON, DOES NOT HOLD SUCH APPEAL, READILY. HOWEVER, SO MUCH IS LEFT UNANSWERED IN THIS LAST EPISODE, THAT WATCHING THE NEXT UPCOMING SEASON (SEASON 5) SHOULD BE A HIGHLY FAVORED CHOICE!

Sadly second half of s4 wasnt any better than 1st. we spend a lot of time on alien planet, around alien technology but we learn nothing new, not even a single tip, except 4 some bs "presence". all subplots were boring as hell, well except Klaes Ashford maybe. so guess what? they killed him at the end.lol i liked Avasarala too but her election plot here was so annoying i had to ff it. this show should end on s3.
